Angry dinner

Semor leaving Ice some hours ago left a sour taste in Damocles's mouth as he sat quietly in his chair with his head resting on his hands. No one had said anything to him. There was an awkward silence that wouldn't budge. Salamay, Moto, and even Nook had sat looking across at Nate, wondering his connection to Grimmock and wondering if they should do something about him. Even Damcoles had run this through his head.

Two hours of silence and midnight approaching, Damocles finally got out of his chair and headed to the cage where Nate sat resting his back against the bars and with his hands behind his head.

"What are you to the Court of Bones?" asked Damocles. He asked through seething clenched teeth.

Nate looked up at Damocles and then yawned.

"It doesn't matter what I am. A few days from now you and your little group are done for. But, if you could manage to get me some popcorn for the show, I'd be grateful. Maybe a tall cup of coke to go with it. Pointless being at the pictures without food and drink." Nate smirked and Damocles booted the cage.

In a full rage, Damocles booted, punched, and rattled the cage shaking it against the marble floor.

"I asked what you are!" he raged.

"I'm a level three Necromancer," quipped Nate.

"Boss, we should leave him alone..." spoke Nook. He shut up fast as Damocles turned to him and pointed his index finger at him.

"Do not tell me what to do! Do not tell me..." Damocles began to charge Magma wall, ready to explode the entire town hall.

"Wait, boss. What about your date. You left that stupid redhead down in the cellar," Salamay had launched out of her chair to speak. Scared stiff she didn't want the building and herself to be in danger.

Damocles stopped the cast and straightened up his jacket. He tried to collect himself but his face showed his anger was there.

"Set a table and get some food, now!" Ordered Damocles as he took leave of the room via the open door leading to the cellar.

Around the room, Moto, Salamay, and Nook took a heavy breath in unison.

"Have you ever seen him madder?" Asked Moto as he rubbed his bald head and stood up. He needed to prepare food fast.

"It is a problem. A big one. It may end with the redhead getting deleted. Maybe that will ease his anger. I shall go and recover a table and chairs. Perhaps we should make ourselves scarce too." Nook stood next, eager to forget the day and eager to leave the room.

Down in the cellar and strolling amongst the large wooden barrels Damocles had had Brit placed in a cell half the size of the one Nate rested in and across from her beloved Squeeks. She couldn't talk to her guide as Damocles had seen to it that the pair were gagged with white rags. When he arrived the two were looking at one another with emotion-filled eyes.

"All you ever do is cry and whine," snapped Damocles as he yanked open the cell cage door allowing Brit to crawl out like a dog.

"It's time for our dinner date. Now get to it!" Damocles booted Brit across the cellar and as she landed she shot back a menacing glare. She wanted it noted that he hadn't broken her. If Squeeks weren't in danger she would fight to her last breath. The only reason she was compliant was because of her best friend.

Getting to her feet, and rather quick as Damocles seemed to be losing his temper Brit scurried up the stone twisting staircase and out into the foyer. A table covered in a white cloth with candles and chairs awaited her. Made to look romantic, how could it ever be romantic with such a maniac?
