Screeching caverns

Bill tipped his hat to Luke before then smiling and watching the group of lads leave. Finally, he was seeing a group of challengers take on the black quest.

"Let's hope we don't run into a Salatooth out in the fields. That would be a disaster. A Terror version of one them start at level fifteen and their aggro range is huge," said Split as he walked side by side Luke.

"We'll be fine," replied Luke, confident in his abilities and in the fact that Avilien shouldn't offer him that much of a challenge. He believed then and there that these Terrors could be overcome with enough skill.

"Before we go at least complete the quest 'Camping is Awesome' sire. It will get you a tent and a campfire. They have a twenty-four-hour cooldown period so can be only used once a day, but if any player, monster or beast comes within five yeards of it, they get turned back. It lasts for eight hours and for obvious reasons they can only be placed in the wilds," explained Split as Nebs flicked him.

"I'm going to agree with this idiot on this master. I'm slowly trailing through all the patch notes I've missed." Nebs yawned as boredom kicked in.

"A quest is a quest. I aim to complete them all. Lead the way Split." Luke sighed as Split stood to attention and then saluted.

The lads didn't have to travel long for the quest as an elderly man sat atop the walls of the town overlooking the main road out of Lunthoria. Climbing the stone steps leading up the wall level two guards clad in steel with swords at the hip patrolled in sets of twos. The wall surrounding Lunthoria was large and filled with trees, benches, and some closed shops. On one of the benches sat a man named Grumpy Earnest. Wandering over to him, Luke tapped the grey-haired man on his brown sweater to kickstart a conversation.

"Get lost, you dumb kids. Why can I never relax? No matter what bench I go to people nag me to deletion."

"Doesn't this guy live up to his name?" quipped Nebs.

"We are here to see if you need any help," asked Luke as Earnest turned away from them.

"No, I don't, so scram," shouted Earnest.

Luke looked at Split who shrugged his shoulders, indicating that this hadn't happened to him before.

"Listen here, you wrinkled husk of a prune," said Nebs as his words pricked at Earnests large round ears.

The old man spun around in the bench quicker than a Bruntusk charge.

"We see the silly little yellow exclamation mark above your fossil-like dome. So do us a favour and cough up the tent and camping gear." Nebs dead-eyed stared down Earnest, and he did the same.

"All you young ones want to do these days is camp. Take the equipment, and I shall pray Salatooths eat the lot of you."

"Fine by us. You don't have many digital years left anyways," Nebs roared with laugher as even Luke was taken back by how evil the one-liner was.

Holo watch vibrating Luke clicked it to see the quest 'Camping is Awesome'. It was an instant completion quest and once accepted a tent with a campfire icon went into Luke's inventory. Another easy quest down and three out of ten completed on the island of Lunthoria. Completing them all gave a mystery reward and the title 'Island Conqueror'.

"Back down we go," said Split as he turned to head back to the steps.

Luke glancing at the railings on the stone wall looked beyond to see open fields, small forests, and one forest with a giant rock sticking out of it. In the distance, he could make out a smaller town with a port. For an island, Luke couldn't see the majority of it because of its size and the darkness setting in didn't help.
