Police sirens wailed in front of Jaden's family home and i could hardly breathe. I was still in shock. The cop trying to get something out of me had given up and now detective sally stood ahead of me. I watched as my 'friends' had been arrested and were being forced into the cops cars. First Christian and Darla into one car then, Joey and Bee. I watched Bee's face and she stared at me, in the same phase of shock that i was in. A cop then ducked her head so she entered the car with ease. A pair of handcuffs was gripped tightly around both her wrists.

"Um...i dont really know, i walked into the room as soon as i heard the noise coming from upstairs." My eyes focused on Jaden talking to another cop.

"What happened after that sir?" He scribbled briefly onto his notepad.

"I walked in... And they were there...looking for something..." And then he faded as our eyes locked together. Cops intercom radios kept coming alive with information.

Suddenly, i felt a cool metal around clasp my wrist, hitting my tendon. What are they doing?

"Sally, wh-what are they doing?" A cop then dragged towards a car.

"Dont worry, they just want to ask you a few questions down at the station" she followed behind.

"Do they have to put ME in handcuffs" i began shaking nervously.

"It looks like... You're under arrest."

Before i could react, i was forced into the car and the door was shut. Luckily, the window was down.

"Im coming down too. Don't worry." She managed to say before the car i was in, pulled out of the residence. I looked around me, a guy in a suit was sat next to me and two policemen were at the front. One driving, one on the passenger seat, talking on his interactive radio. The car was moving too fast, the siren shrieked in my ear repeatedly.

I was accompanied into the station where a lot of people turned their attention to me. Shit. Why didn't i think this through. I was ratting out people ive commited crimes with. If their going down...im going down with them.

It took me a while to realize i was in an empty room, full of cameras and one metal table with two metal chairs on each side. I was on one of those chairs. This was the room you see in movies, where someone had committed a serious crime was interrogated, whether they knew what was happening or not. Why am i here? I haven't committed a serious crime....have i? I traced the mild scars the handcuff had given me on my wrist. At least they took THAT off. I faced a stare down with the camera in the right corner ahead of me. Below it, was the door frame. The door immediately jolted ajar as if it had been synchronised to do so. The man in the suit beside me in the car walked in, grinned at me sheepishly then sat down.

"Well well well..."

'You're bald.' I chuckled to myself.

"Nadine...?"

I didn't answer.

"You could choose to answer or you could just face years...maybe even LIFE in jail" he brought his hand forward to the table.

"I don't have a second name"

I dont KNOW IT.

"...you know why you're here right?"

"...i was hoping you'd explain" i gave him a smirk.

Then he sat up and began explaining.

"So im staying here if Jaden decides to press charges against me?" My jaw dropped open. I was finally out of the "interrogation" room.

"Yes. Look, im sorry this isn't going as planned but it's not too late" Sally sighed impatiently.

I lowered my head between my hands, trying to force away the tears swimming in my eyes.

I was in a typical bailiff room. A window was seperating Sally and i and i could only hear her through the phone.

"Um...he's here" i looked up, tears now running properly down my cheeks. Sally had left. I waited, trying to wipe away the tears. There was NO use, it just kept coming.

Jaden appeared, looking as cool as a cucumber. He even looked calm, but i could still see the hint of shock in his eyes. He sat down opposite, so composed.

I was scared to say anything. He picked up to phone/intercom and nodded towards mine, encouraging me to pick mine up.

"You're so brave" he whispered, his stare gripped on me.

Brave? Isn't he meant to be pissed off?

"Stop crying...please." he's voice was so soft.

"I'm sorry." I sniffled. Why does he care so much?

"Jaden."

"Nadine." We said eachother's name at the same time.

"Their going to take me away. It already feels like im-im in jail" my voice was extremely weak and shaky.

"Wha-what? Is that what they told you?" He's eyes looked glassy.

I nodded.

"Im not pressing charges."he quickly reassured.

"Even if you dont. They'll come back. Im not entirely innocent"

I'll never be happy in life.

"We'll fight back ..." He's voice was hardly there anymore.

WE?

WE.

"They'll win."

"Not if we have one of the best lawyers in the country."

What is this 'WE' buisness? Is he trying to get involved?

"Dont cry Nadine."

"Why are you being so nice about all this? Why dont you want me to rot in jail? Why are we still talking?" I yelled.

He's ljps parted and he took a sharp breath.

"Does that matter right now?"

"YES. IT DOES. Just press charges. I know you want to. Just fucking do it and i'll be out of your life." I wept continously.

"Stop saying shit like that. I dont WANT you out of my life."

"Do you think im a good person?" My sultry voice asked.

He nodded.

"Jaden, im not."

"Dont you see what you just did? You protected everything my family has worked for. Why wont you let me do this!!" NOW he was pissed.

"I'd rather be in jail than be homeless" i murmured.

"Do you honestly think i'd let you be homeless?"

Silence.

"Come live with us."

"What?"

"You can live with me and my family."
