Lucas' POV:

I haven't talked to Maya since she told me to leave her apartment.

I walked with Riley to school today because Maya wasn't there to pick her up.

When me and riley got here, we had to walk in different directions.

I hear my phone vibration and look at it. It's a message from riley.

Riley: you won't believe what just happened

Me: what happened

Riley: maya is finally at school again and..

Me: and?

Riley: she was smoking.. And her punk style is back

Me: wait what. That's a joke, right?

Riley: nope. I had to take that cigarette away from her

Me: Why would she just smoke? This isn't her

Riley: talk to her

I lock my phone again and walk towards history class.

I see Riley walking from the direction with her phone in her hand.

"Oh I forgot. We have history together" she says.

"Yea" I say and walk into class.

I sit in my seat but I can't see maya anywhere. I swear if she's skipping again..

Mr matthews starts class and after 10 minutes the door opens and a blonde punk stands there.

"Excuse me, who are yo- -. Maya!?" Mr Matthews says with wide eyes.

She rolls her eyes and sits in the seat in front of me.

I lean forward and whisper to her "we need to talk"

"I don't got time for that. Besides we're in class"

"Oh so you think that's gonna stop me?"

"What are you talking about?" she asks turning around.

I smile and raise my hand.

"Yea Mr Friar?" Mr matthews says.

"May Maya and I be excused?"

"okay but not for too long, please"

I nod and take maya's hand. We walk out of class.

She pulls her hand away and stops walking.

"What do you want from me?" she says.
