Chapter 21

Lucas' POV:

School just finished and Riley's words are stuck in my head.

Maya thinks that she doesn't deserve me. Why would she think that. If somebody doesn't deserve the other one then it's me.

Maya is apparently sick and wasn't at school today but I don't really believe that story.

I need to see her and talk things out. I can't just keep walking around make myself go crazy because I'm over thinking.

I knock on Maya's door and nobody answers.

I knock again and hear somebody yelling "one second"

The door opens and there is a beautiful short blonde right in front of me.

Her face expression is confused.

"Lucas what are you doing here?" she asks.

"Checking on you. You don't look that sick"

She wears black leggings with a blue skirt that goes to her knees. A black t-shirt which is in the skirt.

"W-what? No! I'm really sick" she fake coughs.

"Yea right. Why won't you be honest with me?" I walk into her apartment.

"I already told you that I'm- -"

"No. That's not what I meant. Why won't you tell me what's really going on? How you feel about me" I say facing her.

She looks away and sits on the couch.

"I have no idea what you're talking about"

"Yes you do" I say sitting next to her.

I grab her hand but she pulls away.

"There are no feelings. I have no feelings for you"

"You don't mean that!" I say in a louder tone.

Maya stands up and says "Yes I do. And now go"

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me" she says.

If she wants to play like this then fine!

I stand up and walk towards the door.

I'm almost out of her apartment but I turn around for one last time. She looks at me but then away.

This is crazy. Why would maya just say those things. This all doesn't make sense.

Riley said something different to me. Oh great..

Someone is lying to me..
