Chapter 4

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

Summer has come and gone it's time for school to start back up. This year is my Junior year so is Riley and the others this year is Dani, Carly, Jenny and Cheyenne's sophomore year. I know Alex is coming back to school as Hayden Evans good thing I have a few sports to keep my mind busy so I don't think about her I've been on the girls' wrestling team since I was freshman. On the girls' track and field since freshman year and I've been doing Martial Arts since I was nine. It's August 12, 2010 my mom drops me and Eric off at the school for our first day. The high school we go to is called Finway High it opened in 1951 fifty-nine years ago. My parents went here in the eighties my mom graduated in 1985 followed by my dad the next year. Carly and Dani's parents also went here in the eighties so did Kelly. I'm looking at my new schedule as I stand in the courtyard waiting for Riley. I have my homeroom, then Language Arts for my first period, second is Algebra 2, third is Chemistry for the first part of class we work a little until the bell rings for lunch. Since I'm a Junior this year I go to lunch a bit later so about 12:00 pm but since today is a half-day school let's out at 12:30 pm. Fourth period is History 2 then my last class is Health. All classes are short so everyone can go around and meet their new teachers and learn their new schedule. I start smelling this scent that just intoxicates me every time I smell it. I look up from my paper and see Riley walking into the courtyard with Sam and Valerie. I watch as she walks through the courtyard my eyes scan her body. Her curly black hair goes a little past her shoulders she's wearing a black polo with dark blue jeans that are American Eagle kick boot cut same kind of jeans I'm wearing with my black polo just two sizes bigger I'm about a 2 in jeans she is a 4. I'm wearing my black Nike air max tailwinds Riley is wearing her white Nike air max tailwinds that she wore at camp. She smiles at me with that beautiful smile I smile back at her and pull her into a hug. She looks down at me after the hug putting one hand on the left side of my face and pulls me into a soft kiss I kiss her back we stand there kissing for a minute until the sound of someone clearing their throat catches our attention. We stopped kissing we both look up and there stands Alex well Hayden. Riley said " What could you possibly want this early in the morning?" Riley is giving her look Alex said " I'd like to talk to my ex alone so scram". I give her a look to let her know it's okay. Riley looks up at Alex and said to were she could hear her " I swear if you touch he I'll kill you". Alex scoffs at her and is unfazed at her threat. Riley walks over to the right a few feet away for us. I'm looking up at her she is wearing the same black polo because she's in the same grade, she is wearing a pair of dark blue jeans that are bootcut but they are Hollister brand and she's wearing a pair of Nike SB dunk lows that are black and light base grey her shoe size is a 9 1/2. I said " What do you want Alex?" She said " I want to find a way for you and Riley to get along better with me". I scoffed " I'm pretty sure it's too late for that". Alex said " Come on just here me out". I said " Fine". with an annoyed tone. She said " The three of us form a Throuple". I can't help but bust out laughing Alex glares at me. I said " What in the hell is a Throuple?" She said " It's a Polyamorous relationship if we were to do this Riley would be my girlfriend too". I give her a territorial look and said " You are insane if you think for one second that I would ever share Riley with you". Alex said " Come on it could be fun". She winks at me and looks over at Riley she isn't watching us she's talking to Sam and Valerie. Alex said as she looked at Riley " I have to admit it she is gorgeous". She looks back at me and said " So what you think?" I said " Hell no it sounds crazy it's just a way for you to have me it's not happening so you can just forget about it". Alex said " Whatever I tried". I said " Yeah tried to be a weirdo". Alex glares at me. Riley walks up standing beside us on the right. Alex smacks Riley on the butt and said by her ear " I'll be seeing you around beautiful. both of you". She winks at me Riley is annoyed at her by doing that. Riley turns around as Alex walks away She said " Keep your dirty hands off me bitch". Alex looks back and said " You'll love my hands sooner or later". She winks at us as she walks off. Riley turns around and looks back at me. She said " What the hell was that about?" I said " She asked me if the three of us could be a Throuple". Riley busted out laughing then said " What the fuck is that?" I said " It's a polyamorous relationship she wants to date us both". Riley said " So now she wants a threesome?" I said " Yeah". Riley said " Hell no that bitch isn't touching me like that". I said " That's what I told her that it is never happening". Riley said " No that's weird". Riley pulls out her schedule from her back pocket and opens it she shows it's to me and I look at mine then back at hers. I said " Oh thank god we have every single class together this year". Riley looks at both of the schedules and we smile at each other. She gives me a soft kiss and holds my hand as we walk through the courtyard up the concrete stairs that leads up to a sidewalk. The sidewalk leads up to the front entrance of the school as we walk up Riley opens the door for me and holds it as I walk in she follows me in and closes the door behind her. We are on the third floor the library is small and it is on the left side of the hallway we walk by it past some trophy cases on the right wall. A picture catches my eye and I stop so does Riley. It's a picture of the 1984 basketball team I look in the back row and see my dad and Kyle in an old basketball uniforms. Riley is looking at the other side of the trophy case. As I look with her we find Brandon in football pictures from 1994-1998.
