Chapter 18

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

Two months of school has flew by it has been alright except for our new principal Mr. Vitaly, who is still being creepy and acting strange but here lately his has been acting secretive. Almost everyday for the past month he uses the senior chemistry lab for a few hours. It's my chemistry teacher's room but he was an accident at his home, he was up on the roof of his house cleaning out the gutters when somehow the ladder he was on fell out from under his shoes. He was on a two story ladder he needed one that big because his house is two stories high. He landed in his driveway where he smacked the pavement with his back it broke in three places so he is gonna be out for a long time and it just happened a week ago. Today is Friday October 21, 2011 Alex has surprisingly kept her distance ever since her and my mom got into that fight. I guess my mom put her in her place for the time being but I know Alex and she doesn't give up that easily. I just arrived at school I pull into the senior parking lot in the back that is located in front of the gym. Brandon got Riley's car fixed; I get out of mine after turning it off. I close the door and walk over to Riley she is standing in front of her car with the hood behind her. She pulls me into a hug and I kiss her softly she smiles into the kiss and kisses me back. I look at her after the kiss and said " Did you get accepted into the agency by Noah Smith yet?" Riley said " Yeah I got the email today he wants us to come in after school today". I said " Eric got accepted too so did Shelby but Noah said that it would be safer for her not to go on any missions until she has the baby". Riley said " That's understandable we don't need anything to happened to her she is carrying the next generation of us". I said " She is precious cargo literally.. my brother would lose his shit if anything happened to her". Riley said " That's why she has all of us to protect her". Shelby's stomach has grew so now you can clearly tell that she is pregnant some people are okay with it but there are some who are rude and start rumors such as the baby doesn't belong to Eric some have even said that it belonged to Mason Jr. which is a lie. I hear the sound of Eric's truck pulling in the back parking lot. I look over and see the truck pulling in slowly he drives down and pulls in beside my car. I watch as he gets out of the truck with his back pack on his back and walks around to the passenger side. Where he opens the truck down and helps Shelby out easily because being pregnant it is difficult to move and get in and out of vehicles. They walk over to us and stand by me I look down at Shelby's pregnant belly. Eric keeps looking back where the middle of the parking lot is. I look over and see a group of kids two guys and about three girls they are giggling and looking over at us. I said to Eric " What is it?" He looks back at me and said " Those kids have been saying things to us". I said " What did they say?" Shelby said " Just picking at us. they keep saying that Mason got me pregnant which is insane". Eric said " They are just trying to start trouble". I said " Just ignore them". Eric said " I'm trying sis but it's hard". I said " I know it is trust me". They walk down the middle of the parking lot passing by Riley's car. A guy with a brown buzz cut passes by wearing a letterman jacket from the football team. He has a basketball under his black polo as he walks imitates a pregnant woman walking. They all giggle childishly as they pass. When Sam and the others show up we all walk down to the courtyard and stand where we always do. Those kids are standing beside us on the end of the low brick wall that has a sidewalk leading down into the cafeteria. I sense a familiar presence one that has always given me the creeps. I look back and see Kevyn and Kelly entering the courtyard I tap Riley on the arm and she looks at them. She said " No fucking way".. They stop and stand in front of us with their arms crossed. Riley gets closer right in Kelly's face. She said quietly " You two both have some serious balls to show your faces around here again". Kelly scoffs then said " Relax short fuse nobody can see our real faces because of the magical disguises". Kevyn said " We aren't stupid". Sam steps up and makes Riley back up. Kelly smirks at Sam as her eyes scan her body. Kevyn said with sarcasm " Samantha always a pleasure to see you". Kelly said " Always". she winks at her. Sam said " What are you really doing here?" Kevyn said " That's for me to know and for you to find out". Kelly takes one last look at Sam as they are walking off. Kevyn rolls her eyes and grabs Kelly by the arm pulling her along. Sam growls in frustration then She said " That's just great they are right under everyone's noses and we are the only ones who know". I said " Just watch your back there is no telling what they are up to". Riley said " There is no telling what Kelly is up to with Sam. I swear we need to get her arrested for sexual harassment towards a minor". Sam said " We don't have any proof she hasn't done anything yet but it's obvious what her intentions are". I said " Yeah it's wrong on so many levels she's old enough to be your mom". Sam cringes. Valerie has this territorial look in her eyes. She said " I swear I'm gonna kill that bitch one way or another". she said that quietly. We hear the sound of water hitting the ground. Shelby exclaims as she looks down at her feet. Eric sees the guy from the parking standing behind her with a empty plastic water bottle in his hand. He said in a fake female voice " Oh no my water broke!" he laughs childishly with the others. Eric is pissed he goes to move and Shelby puts her hands on his shoulders stopping him. She said " Let me". Eric looks down at her. She turns around and looks up at the guy. He is about 5' 10" and weighs about 165. Shelby said " You think you're so funny don't you?" He said " Yeah I do". with sarcasm. Shelby said " What is your deal with me being pregnant?" He said " Seems kind of skanky if you ask me. I mean how does he know for sure it's his kid?" Shelby said " Because I know for a fact it is his and I'm not a skank". He laughs sarcastically then said " Yeah sure I've seen you with Mason Watson. A little too close if you ask me". We see Mason walk up behind him. His friends were laughing but the laughter stops suddenly when they see Mason. He notices Shelby looking up behind him and turns around. Mason is nose to nose with him. His face turns to fear as Mason grabs his black polo pulling him closer. Mason said " You've got to the count of three to get lost before you I make you". Mason's eyes turn yellowish orange and the guy said " Dude what's up with your eyes?" Mason said as he stared him down " It's just something that happens when I get very angry.. Now leave them alone and don't make me ask you twice".. He said " Okay! Okay.." Mason shoves him and he scatters down the sidewalk with his friends. Eric said " Thanks man". Mason said " No problem he's always been an ass". He looks at Shelby then said " Are you alright?" She said " Yeah I just don't like being called a skank". Eric said " You're not". Shelby said " He only said that because he has seen me and Mason hanging out alone. I swear some people just think that girls can't be just friends with a guy they always think you are together". Mason said " Well we all know that guy is just making stuff up". We go to class after the bell rings.  Later on that day after second period is gym class which we only have on Fridays. It's me, Riley, Sam, Valerie, Eric, Mason, Mikayla and Shelby. As we walk in from changing into our gym clothes which is a maroon shirt and black basketball shorts everyone has to wear the same thing. I look and see two women standing in the middle of the gym floor. We follow the rest of the students to the middle. It's Kelly and Kevyn but of course the other students can't see their real faces. Kelly is wearing a dark grey racerback tank top that you wear for workouts with a pair of black Reebok track pants and pair of retro Reebok pump up shoes. Kevyn is wearing a black racerback tank top that has a white Nike symbol in the middle of it with a pair of black Nike track pants with a pair of black and white Nike tailwinds like the ones I have. They both have their hair tied back in ponytails with their bangs out of their faces. Kelly said " Hello class my name is Casey Davis this is my daughter Cassidy Davis we are your new teachers you may call us Miss Casey and Miss Cassidy". The guy from the courtyard this morning raises his hand. Kelly said " Yes?" He said " Are you sure you two aren't sisters?" Kelly and Kevyn look at each other and the guy said " Cause you don't look old enough to be her mom". Kelly said " So??" The guy said to his friend quietly " Teen skank". He laughs sarcastically. Kelly is pissed she walks up to him looking up at him with that intimidating  look in her eyes. Kelly said " Excuse me? what did you just call me?" The guy looks nervous. Kelly said " What's wrong with teen moms? you got a problem with that?" He is stuttering. Kelly mocks his stuttering. She said " How dare you degrade me... you have no idea who I am".. She looks over at Shelby and said " Miss come here". She knows who Shelby is but She walks over to her. Kelly makes her stand in front of the guy. She puts her hand on Shelby's pregnant belly as She looks up at him. She said " She may not have planned this but this is a living breathing thing inside of her and that doesn't make her any different from any other girl in this room.." The guy is speechless. Kevyn points to the doors and said " Office.. NOW!" She leads him to the doors and they walk out of the gym. I can't believe it Kelly just showed us her humanity she obviously does have a heart deep in there somewhere. The rest of the students start walking laps around the gym. I'm standing near Shelby She said to Kelly " He hit a nerve didn't he?" Kelly looks at me, Riley, Sam, Valerie and Mikayla standing there. She said " Let's just say I know what it feels like to have someone degrade you for being a teen mom". Shelby said " So you do have some humanity left inside of you. Do you love any one else besides Kevyn?" Kelly looks at her then said to Shelby " Walk laps around the gym with everyone else Miss Williams". Shelby walks over to us we were standing a few feet away but I could hear everything. Sam said " Who knew the demon has a heart". I said " Who knew the demon had a soul". Kelly is glaring at us as we walk around the gym.
