Chapter 9

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

It's been about three days since Alex turned Riley evil which resulted in me biting Alex with my fangs and drinking her blood but Riley stopped me. But while I was in that state of mind I tried to feed off of Riley only for my Dad, Mom and Eric to intervene and save Riley. My Mom forced me to swallow the reversal potion with her powers and it turned me back to normal. As for Alex well... she's dead I didn't want it to come to that but I knew I would eventually have to do it sooner or later. Mom checked her pulse was positive she was dead so we just left her there knowing that Kelly or Kevyn will come searching for her. It's Wednesday February 16, 2011 I was " sleeping" like I do when I feel myself have a " dream" like I did when Alex raped me. I see her appear from dark lights she stands at the dresser facing the mirror with her back turned to the bed. She said as stared into the mirror looking at me as I raise up in the bed " You think you've won? but you haven't I'm still here Nicole.. inside your mind... That's where you've kept me alive.. Don't you see? I'm just a figment of your imagination... I was never real... only to you I was because you couldn't cope with me being gone so you made up this evil version of the real Alex to hold onto her." I said " Stop!!!! I'm not crazy... I know for a fact that you are real you are just trying to make me feel insane". Alex's eyes turned red then She said " You think you can just forget about me?!! well guess what?!! I'm permanent you can't erase me!! I will always be here!! and I will always love you!! whether you like it or not!!!!" She turns around and throws a metal stake at me and it sticks into the wall behind me. I exclaim in shock as I come out of the dream state I fall out of my bed and land on my side. I exclaim as hit the hard wood floor. I groan as I raise up I hear foot steps traveling up the stairs followed by the door opening I see Eric walk in. He said " I'm sorry for busting in. but are you okay?" He helps me up and I said " Yeah just a bad dream". He looks puzzled Eric said " I thought vampire-witches don't dream?" I said " Well kinda of wasn't more like a daydream for me". Eric said " Oh isn't that when Alex did you know what to you?" I said " Yeah". He has a look of concern for me on his face. Eric said " Nothing bad happened before I came in did it?" I said " No nothing she is gone for good we don't have to worry about Alex Porter anymore". Eric said " I just feel guilty that I wasn't here to stop it". I said " It's not your fault it's not anyone's. it just happened".. Eric said " I know you didn't want to kill Alex especially the way you did. but she isn't here to hurt you anymore I don't think you shouldn't feel any type of way she was a very cruel and evil person who did something awful to you". I said " I know.. but a part of me will always remember who she was before evil Alex took over and that's the only thing that stays with me but I can't dwell on it". Eric goes back to his room and continues getting ready for school I get a towel and go take a quick shower. I come back to the room and get dressed I put on my black Nike polo on with a pair of dark blue boot cut jeans and my black Adidas as I pick up my backpack from the floor by the night stand I pick up my car keys and I grab my black colored American eagle jacket. I open my door and close it behind me as I walk out of my room I hear Eric's bedroom door close I glance back at him as he follows me down stairs. I turn right going around the stairs down the hallway that leads to the kitchen. I walk over to the left cabinet by the stove and open the door I look up at three bottles with my name, Dad's name and Eric's name on the labels. The top shelf of the cabinet is too high for me to reach I struggle to reach the bottle I see Eric walking up behind me he reaches up and gets the bottle without any trouble he hands me mine while he gets his. I said " Thanks I hate being short sometimes". Eric said " That's the only thing you didn't get from Dad was being tall you got being short from Mom". I said " Kinda but she isn't that short like me I still have to look up to her". Eric giggles as he pours out four pills so do I. The sound of footsteps entering the kitchen catches our attention we look over at Mom walking through the doorway. She said " What are you two laughing about?" Eric said " Nicole she was complaining about being short". Mom is over at the coffee pot pouring coffee into a thermos not one of those huge green ones this one is designed like one of those metal travel cups with the lids. Mom walks over to the fridge opening it pulling out a bottle of creamer she walks back over to the counter and pours in the creamer. She said as she walked back over to the fridge " Yeah I hate kind of hate being short too sometimes". She opens the door and puts the creamer back inside. I said " You aren't a midget like me though you are average I'd be happy at your height". Mom giggles as she closes the sugar. She turns around and takes a sip of her coffee. I noticed Dad wasn't on the couch when I got up early. I said " Did Dad already leave for work?" She said " No it's his day off he slept in the bed with me last night". I smiled and said " He did? that's good". Eric said " Does this mean you two are back together?" She said " Yeah but things are still a little rocky but we are working through it". I said " That's the best news I've heard in a while". Eric said " Yeah me too". I hear the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs and see Dad walk in the kitchen he is wearing a white t-shirt with a black leather bomber jacket, a pair of dark blue relaxed fit American Eagle blue jeans and a pair of black Wolverine steel toed boots. I see Mom's eyes scan his body as she takes a drink of her coffee she is low key checking him out. I look at the clock on the wall and said " We better get to school". Eric pulls out his keys from the from of his blue jean pocket and we walk though the doorway and down to the middle of the hallway where the stairs are and turn left going through to the living room. Eric turns right walking towards the front door as I follow him. Mom said " Have a good day you guys we love you". We both stop and look back. Dad said " Be careful driving love you guys". Mom is looking over at the couch. She walks over and we watch her as she touches a rip on the couch. She said " How did that get there?" I have a flash back of Riley and I having sex on the couch on Valentines day I must have torn it with my nails. My eyes widen I don't want them to know that we did it on the couch but Dad speaks up " It's probably from putting something up there to vacuum. She said " Yeah most likely". Eric and I walk out to our cars he is smiling at me with this look. I said " What?" He said " Was that from you and Riley?" I blush and he giggles " You fucked her on the couch didn't you?" I said as I look away " Maybe". He laughs as he walks over to the driver side and opens the door. I get in my car and roll the driver side window down as Eric starts his car up. He rolls down his passenger window and said " That's okay because I just did Shelby there a few days ago". I make a grossed out expression and he busted out laughing I said " Ewwww!" I said in a playful way " My strap on is bigger than you". Eric winks at me and said " You wish". as he pulls out of the driveway I'm laughing. I push the clutch all the way to the floor with my left foot the gear shifter is in Neutral, then I turn the key in the ignition to start it and remove my foot from the clutch, I press my foot on the brake with my right foot, I pull the gear shifter into first gear, I remove my right foot from break pedal, I slowly release pressure from the clutch with my left foot and the car rolls forward a little, As I gently release the clutch I press the accelerator very easy with my right foot as I have released the clutch completely I pull out of the drive way pressing my foot more on the accelerator. I'm driving in first gear as I drive down the road continue building speed I push the gear shifter into second gear I take my foot off the accelerator and push my left foot into the clutch I repeat the process building up more speed as I eventually catch up to Eric. I drive right beside him. He smiles at me as I shift and push the clutch to speed up in front of him. I pull into the school driving up the hill I look over at the courtyard and turn left up the other hill to the junior and senior parking lot. I drive down and turn right driving to an empty spot on the left side of the parking lot at the very end close to the hospital. I turn the car off and put the car in park. I grab my back pack and open the door getting out I see Riley, Sam, Valerie, Dani, Carly, Jenny and Cheyenne walking across the parking lot from the gym over to me. I push the lock down and the doors lock. I closed the door and Riley walks up to me giving me a kiss I kiss her back and she looks at me. Riley said " You're gonna have to teach me how to drive that someday". I said " I'd love to". The sound of a loud engine roars it startles everyone in the parking. Tires screech as we look over at the back entrance of the parking lot a white 2011 Ferrari comes speeding in. It drifts around the corner turning into the parking lot where it slows down and turns into the empty parking spot beside my car. The sound of rock music blares inside the car with the windows up. The car shuts off and the doors on the car open and come up pointing to the sky that is what you call Scissor doors. Whoever that is their parents are obviously rich. A white teenage girl with dirty blonde hair the same color as Cheyenne's steps out of the car with a black Oakley backpack. She steps back and pushes a button on her key remote and the doors descend down closing. She has on a pair of black Oakley sunglasses on her face. She is wearing a black cargo jacket that has a dark grey jacket with a hood sewn into it. A black Oakley polo shirt, dark blue American eagle boot cut jeans and a pair of black Oakley sneakers that are styled like skating boarding shoes. She walks to the back of her car and pulls out her iPhone texting her hair comes a little past her shoulders she stands at about 5' 6" she weights probably about 140 lbs. I look over at Dani I can sense her tension I said " Are you okay?" She said " Yeah something about her creeps me out". Dani and I have made up she's apologized to me for using her powers on me. But I told her I deserved it anyway. The girl looks over at us she watches us closely then walks over to us standing a few inches away from me and Dani. We don't know who she is. I said " Is there something we can help you with?" She said " Nah I know my way around this dump". her voice sends chills down ours spines. Dani drops her plastic water bottle and it hits the ground at her feet; Cheyenne's eyes widen in surprise. She reaches up and slowly pulls her sunglasses off revealing her light brown eyes she stares evilly at Cheyenne. She said " Hello little Sis". That is Adrian Miller, Cheyenne's older sister she is the one who raped Dani. Cheyenne walks up and stands in front of Dani as Carly holds onto her. Cheyenne is pissed She said as she looked up at her " What the hell are you doing here?" Adrian said " Finishing school". Cheyenne said " You better turn around and go back to where ever the hell you came from". Adrian said " Nah I think I'll stick around for good we've got some catching up to do sis." She looks down at Dani and said " We've all got some catching up to do". She winks at Dani and she cringes. Cheyenne said " You stay the hell away from her. Do you understand me??" Adrian scoffs as she puts her sunglasses on her head. Carly steps in front of Cheyenne getting closer to Adrian. She looks down at her and Carly said quietly to where Adrian could hear her " I swear if you lay one hand on her... I'll fucking kill you"... Adrian's eyes turned red and She said " You don't scare me midget". Carly said " Try me bitch". Adrian said " I'll be seeing you guys around". She walks past us and checks Dani out as she walks past us. This is a disaster Adrian returning to town is a huge problem because we all know she's after Dani and will do anything to get her we really have to look over our shoulders now. I said with sarcasm " That is just great she is gonna terrorize everyone". Cheyenne said " I thought she was gone for good". Dani said " Does this mean your Dad is back too?" Cheyenne said " I don't know Adrian is eighteen now so she has no need for him to be around". She is talking to a group of boys they are in the tenth grade. A guy with a skater boy hair cut hands her a magazine and she signs it with a Sharpie. We all start walking to the steps past her. Adrian watches us as she signs another magazine she smiles evilly as we past by. We walk down into the courtyard and stand to the right side by the low brick wall. Soon Adrian walks down with a group of boys their is about five of them crowding her like she's a famous person. She is standing a few feet away from us She said to the boys " I think I need a drink. would you boys be so kind to go get me one?" They all talk at once and She said " A water would be great". She hands them a few dollars then said " Grab yourselves something too." They all walk in a group past us down the sidewalk to the lunch room. Adrian is watching Dani with these creepy look all of us give her dirty looks as she walks by she holds out a magazine in front of Dani she snatches it from her hand and Adrian said " Check out my spread". She winks at her as she walks around us and down the sidewalk to the lunch room. Dani turns the magazine over and there is Adrian in a white bikini standing on a beach posing for a picture. Cheyenne said " That's how she got that car". Dani opens the book and there is a picture of her laying on Adrian's shoulder like she is asleep. Her eyes widen and she flips through the book it shows more pictures of them cuddling with a white sheet over them. Dani starts to panic as she walks over to a boy that has the same magazine and asks for it. He hands it to her and she looks through it then hands it back. She walks back over to us and said " This is the only one that has those pictures... I can't believe she took pictures of me like that". All of us don't know the whole story the only ones who do is Dani, Carly, Cheyenne and Adrian. She said to the rest of us " I know I haven't told you guys much about what she did but I'll go ahead and tell you... Adrian came over to my house one day to get something for her Dad or that's what she told me... Next thing I know I'm waking up in my bed feeling groggy and confused I was naked under the sheet I got up and got dressed then I started have flashbacks of what happened. Adrian put something in my drink to drug me so she could have her way with me and I remember all of it because it of my empath power... I couldn't resist and fight her off because of the drug she gave me"... I said " I still can't believe that bitch date raped you." Dani said " Yeah it was the most awful feeling I never want to feel like that again"... I said " It's so fucked up I can't believe she done that to you". Jenny said " Is there anyway you can prove that she did that?" Dani said " No I wish I could whatever evidence was left I'm sure she took it with her". Cheyenne said " Not too long after that I walked into my parents room and found my Mom dead with an empty bottle of prescription pills beside her on the bed. But I know my father killed her and made it look like a suicide he did for the insurance on her she was a 2nd Lieutenant in the army for seven years then was discharged by medical means''. Valerie said " What happened to her while she was in service?" Cheyenne said " She was on the base with her team and they were fighting with the enemies she was shot with an AK 47 in her back and three of the bullets hit her lower back it severed the part of her lower spine causing her to be paralyzed from the waist down". Jenny said " My aunt Karen was with her on base when it happened she was a 2nd Lieutenant and her team was attacked too. Karen was injured by a Shrapnel it caused a back injury damage to her right shoulder blade and top verbrate. she was discharged after  the injury." That was horrible what Cheyenne told us about her Mom she was a hero for our country and she got injured on active duty only for her own husband to kill her for money which is the root of all evil. The bell rings and everyone walks inside on the third floor I'm walking down the hallway with Riley, Sam and Valerie; Dani, Carly, Jenny and Cheyenne walked up to the fourth floor where they still have classes. I walk up to my locker with Riley she is looking over at me as I turn the dial on the lock. She sees something is bothering me Riley said " Are you okay?" I look over and said " Yeah it's just really sad what happened to Cheyenne's mom it makes me thank god that mine is still here". Riley said " Yeah me too it would be very difficult without my mom in my life I couldn't imagine her not being here". I hear a locker door open up beside me. I look over at Adrian standing there I scoff as I pull out a textbook and a binder. Riley is looking at her too Adrian smiles evilly at me then said " I almost forgot you are a year younger than me. you still look like an eleven year old though." I shut the locker door hard and said " That's just your type preying on the young is sickening if you ask me". Adrian said " I could say the same about you divirgining Carly". I have a guilty look on my face as I look over at Riley. Adrian said " Yeah I know about that". I said " I didn't rape her that was Kelly she cast a spell to make that happen". Adrian said " No Nicole that was you not be able to control yourself". I'm getting more pissed by the minute I need to walk away before I karate chop this bitch in the throat. Riley gets in between us she puts her hand on my chest and Adrian's pushing us apart. Riley said " Okay that's enough". Adrian pushes her hand off. Riley turns to Adrian and said " Stop trying to make yourself look better we all know what you did. Stay the hell away from us and Dani you got that?" Adrian is looking down at her and said " I do what I want better watch your backs bitches". I see Sam walking up behind Adrian she is more eye level just shy an inch. Adrian looks over her left shoulder and said " Samantha come to join the party?" She turns around and looks at Sam. She said " Get away from them right now". Adrian said " Awww here comes big sis to the rescue." She said that mockingly. She walks past Sam as she passes a nerdy boy she smacks his books out his hands and they fall to the floor at his feet then swats his glasses off his face she steps on them and the sound of the glasses breaking rings in our ears. He frowns as he looks at Adrian She snickers evilly " Nerd". Sam shoves Adrian in the shoulder hard and she laughs as she struts away. Sam looks down at the small boy and bends down helping him gather his books while Riley and I gather up his papers. She picks up his mangled glasses and She said " Do you want to tell on her?" He said " No it's okay she probably want stop even if you do". Sam walks into the stairwell with him where nobody can see she holds the glasses in her hands she covers them with the other and her hands light up she moves her hand and the glasses are fixed like they were never broken. The boy is amazed Sam puts his glasses back on his face and He said " How did you do that?" Sam looks at me and Riley then said " A magic trick I learned". We are looking at him he is a lot younger than us. Sam said " How old are you?" He said " Twelve". We all give him a stunned expression. He said " I skipped middle school". Riley is looking at his papers. She said to him " You are taking 12th grade calculus?" He said " Yeah everyone picks on me calling me a nerd". Riley hands Sam the papers and she hands them to the boy. She said " You're not a nerd. you are just very intelligent keep up the good work". He said " You girls are sweet what's your names?" Sam said " I'm Sam this is Riley and Nicole." He looks at Riley and Sam said " She's my fraternal twin sister". He said " I'm Willis but I go by Will". Sam said " Where's your homeroom we'll walk you there". He points all the way down at the end of the hallway to Mr. Sims classroom. Sam said " Cool that's my homeroom". Sam walks him to the room while me and Riley go to our homeroom which Kevyn.
