Chapter 24

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

Last time Sam got arrested by those two cops Mike Dallas and Juan Miguel. We all went down to the juvenile detention facility Brandon found out that they didn't have any leads on the case or any evidence against Kelly or Kevyn so the case went cold. When Brandon asked if they had Sam there the woman at the desk but she couldn't find her in the system, Brandon spoke to a cop and he told him they have never heard of those cops that arrested Sam. From there we enlisted the help of Dani again and she was able to find their location. Me, Riley, Jesse and Valerie all went over and found Sam in this huge gothic mansion with these men. Jesse went in mama bear mode and ripped through this house until her and Riley found Sam with Mike and Juan the three of them vanquished them together. But little did we know things were brewing between Kim and Dakota; Kim had told Dakota about the argument that happened between her and Kelly at Carly's birthday party and it made Dakota feel insecure about her relationship with Kim and she said she felt like she could never amount up to Kelly. Which infuriated Kim and they got into a big fight to the point where Dakota left a few days later ending things with Kim. She later called Kim and said that she had also been offered a job at another accountant office out in Florida and that she accepted it. So Dakota bailed because of insecurities about their relationship which is normal in a relationship to a point but I believe Dakota went overboard with it and let her own insecurities overcome something that could have been prevented if she had talked Kim. But her saying she felt like she could never amount up to Kelly really hurt Kim because Dakota knew that Kelly was abusive and toxic to Kim their entire relationship. Today is Monday February 13, 2012 tomorrow is Valentine's day. After school I drive home normally Riley comes with me to either stay the night or to hang out until she needed to go home but this time she has to work from 4-10 at the grocery store so I'm off today. I arrive home a short time later after I turned off the car I got out and walked inside to find Avery sitting on the couch with her lap top and the coffee table full of ingredients for potion making. I see a small vile on the coffee table that is a creamy red color. I'm standing infront of the table looking at her. I said " What are you doing?" Avery looks up from her laptop in her lap. She sits the laptop on the couch beside her then said hesitantly " I think I found a way to fix Alex". I said " You what??" Avery said " I know you don't like it... but she is my sister and if I can bring her back to good then I'm gonna do it". I said " I know.. I just hope she will be better understanding about me and Riley unlike last time". Avery said " I think she'll come to terms with it because she will know that you and her aren't happening... I made this potion to rid the evil from inside of her she will get witch powers but anything evil will be expelled including evil powers and hopefully her evil attitude". I said " So are you just gonna ambush her?" Avery said " I'm gonna try but I'm gonna need help". I said " You want my help??" She said " Please.. I hate to ask but she will be zeroed in on you and won't be paying much attention to me". I'm looking at her with an unsure look. Avery said " If it doesn't work I'll give up I promise.... I just want my sister back"... I see tears in her eyes I said " Okay I'll help you. I'd be doing the same if it were Eric". Since Alex is evil Avery can no longer since her location so we just have to teleport to places we know she goes to. We spot her red and black 2011 Dodge Viper at Edgewood park not far away from the high school. We are standing at the corner of Edgewood Avenue where you can see the park if you are standing here and if you look to the left there is a Gazebo with a red tin roof over it and two metal picnic tables that are black. I see Alex sitting at the first table drinking a Coke from a plastic bottle. Avery is looking with me I spot two women walking into the gazebo as I look closer I can tell it's Kelly and Kevyn. They sit down at the table infront of her. I said " Now the question is how do we get closer without them recognizing us right away?" Avery said " An invisibility spell?" I said " Perfect.. we need to do it now why nobody is around". We take a step back from the corner out their sight Avery steps over in between two skinny trees that have several branches grew over top of a bush facing the park making a small wooded area out of view. This is also someone's yard because there is a house behind us. Thank god it's empty with no tenants. I said quietly " Make them believe nothing is really there... make them see nothing but thin air".... I look at Avery as she starts disappearing I look down at my hands as they disappear soon we are invisible. We step out and start walking across the street to the park headed toward the gazebo. We carefully walk across the grass avoiding sticks as we get closer until we are at a good throwing distance. Alex is listening to Kevyn talk as she is talking Alex looks back as she senses a presence. Kevyn stops talking and Kelly said to Alex " What is it??" Alex looks back at them then said " Nothing". Avery draws her arm back ready to throw the potion when all a sudden Alex slings her open bottle of Coke towards us and covers us in soda. The invisibility spell stops working because they can now see our outline from the soda. We become visible again and Alex said as she held the empty bottle of coke " You two are so dead!" Alex throws the empty coke bottle at us as we take off running across the grass. They are chasing us as we take off running down Edgewood avenue and turn right onto Whittle Springs road as we run down the sidewalk on Whittle Springs road Avery is having a hard time keeping up with me because she can't run like me. I see Alex, Kelly and Kevyn trailing behind us getting closer by the minute. Avery said as she ran " There is an old abandon knitting mill off Washington avenue maybe we can make it there"... I stop and turn my back to her. I said " Hop on and hold on tight". Avery jumps on my back with her legs wrapped around my waist and her arms around my shoulders as I take off dashing down the sidewalk with Avery on my back. I run so fast that humans can't see me I'm a blur to them so they won't think anything about it. We can't risk teleporting because we will be exposed to humans. If they could see me they would be blown away that as small as I am I'm running with a woman that is 5'4" on my back that weights about 130 lbs. I finally make it to the knitting mill that looks like a ghost town but we have to cross a big chain link fence with a gate and cross the railroad tracks to get to it. I stop running and let Avery down so we can squeeze through the gate that has an old chain lock wrapped around it. We make our way this area that looks like a small junkyard. We step over onto the gravel around the old railroad tracks and look both ways to make sure the train isn't coming through. As we cross the tracks I look back and there is no sign of Alex, Kelly and Kevyn. As we walk on the dirt infront of the old building I notice there is a garden infront of it but since it's winter there is nobody tending to it. As we walk around the building I see medium sized chain link fence with a gate that has a cement walkway leading across a creek I open the gate door and we walk across the walkway and see a wooden door that has graffiti on it and the door is open from other people going inside to explore which is illegal. We are breaking the law by trespassing but we aren't worried about it because we can teleport out without being discovered. We walk up to the door I look to my left and there is a walkway with an old metal railing leading down to the corner of the building. As we walk in it's a kind of of dark but not completely because the light from outside shining it. This a creepy place to visit and know that people actually worked here years ago. We past by what was a bathroom because there are still old toilets with old stalls. We make our way into a huge room that is empty except for several cement pillars that are attached to the roof. The room is littered with trash and old equipment used here. There is even a few old machines that have been removed from there previous spaces and put here for storage. Avery studies the machine. She said " I know what this was.. it was a textile fabric company".. A voice catches our attention " Well you guessed right bitch". We look back and there stands Kelly, Kevyn and Alex; Kelly said " You guys do realize I knew exactly where you were headed?? I mean think about it. I definitely remember this place it shut down in 1989 when I was twenty-two and it used to be the best textile factory in Knoxville.. you can't trick an old head like me I know this town from top to bottom". I said with sarcasm " We forget you're ancient Kelly". She said " Watch it smart ass". Kevyn said " They wanted a fight now they got one". Kelly snatches Avery up her throat squeezing her small hand around Avery's throat cutting off her airway. Avery chokes as Kelly keeps her hand there. I said " Let her go!! NOW!!!" I look down and see the potion vile in the back of Avery's blue jeans they seemed to have forgotten about it. Kevyn reveals a metal stake and points it at my chin. She said " Shut the fuck up". I'm standing very close to Avery while they were talking and not paying attention I reached in Avery's back pocket and pulled out the vile sliding it into the front pocket of my blue jeans. Kevyn looks back at us then pulls me over to the right away from Avery. She said " Don't get any ideas". I see Avery look over at me Kelly is barely squeezing her throat. Alex said to Avery " You thought you were slick but I knew you were there I could feel it". Alex punches Avery in the stomach hard and she exclaims in pain as Kelly still holds onto her neck. Kelly said " I think it's time you cut family ties with her Alex she's only holding you back". Alex said " You read my mind Kelly". I see that cloudy white potion appear in Alex's hand. She said " Do you think I was born yesterday?? I knew exactly what you were trying to do... you were trying to turn me back well guess I ain't coming back!! and neither are you!!" Avery throws her leg up kicking Kelly right in the vagina. She exclaims in pain as she releases Avery. I kick Kevyn in the shin hard she exclaims in pain and releases me. I yelled " Avery run!!!" She takes off running up a set of stairs as Alex launches the potion vile at her but it misses and shatters on the wall. I dash up the stairs after Avery. I hear Alex cussing up a storm along with Kelly because the kick in the groin. I run into the room above and don't see Avery she must have went up on the next floor above. I hear running up the stairs and I look back to see Kelly standing in the doorway. She said as she walked in " Not who I was after but you'll do". Kelly growls as she takes off dashing at me like a bull that has seen the color red. She bent down in a tackling position with her shoulders pointed at my waist. I try to catch her in a headlock but she quickly smashes into my waist tackling me against a cement pillar attached to the wall. I exclaim in pain at the impact I slide down the pillar as Kelly backs up and swings her fist at me but I quickly duck and she punches the cement cracking it. I tackle her into the cement pillar behind her and she exclaims in pain as her back smacks the pillar hard. I raise up and swing my fist punching her in the mouth hard. She growls and throws her head forward hitting me with a vicious headbutt. Her forehead smashes into my nose instantly making my nose bleed and my eyes water but they clear up quickly and I get my vision back. I see Kelly with a piece of Rebar in her hands she exclaims in anger as she swings it at me but I dodge it. She swings it at my face but quickly changes the direction and hits me in the stomach hard. I exclaim in pain and hit the ground on my knees. I feel the Rebar connect with my face striking me in cheek I exclaim in pain as I hit the floor on my back. Kelly pounces on top of me and pushes the Rebar into my throat choking me. I can feel the gash on my cheek gushing blood. I'm trying to kick her but she's sitting on my legs preventing me from moving them. She said as the cut on her lip oozed blood " Fucking die!!" She takes the Rebar off my throat and raises it back ready to plunge it into my heart. I sling my arm and throw her off using my telekinesis. I stumble up grabbing a piece of Rebar from the floor. She swings her piece of Rebar at me and swing mine at hers and they clank like swords. All a sudden there is a loud crack above us followed by a loud crash we both look up and see Alex and Avery crashing through and hitting the floor between me and Kelly. As they hit the floor on their backs from the impact the floor below us caves in and the four of crash through hitting cement floor down below. I exclaim as I landed on my side and rolled over on my back. I look up and see the dust clearing I hear Avery exclaim in pain. I raise up and see Alex holding Avery's arms behind her back while Kelly punches her in face and the torso. Kelly knees Avery in the vagina and she exclaims in pain as Alex holds her up. Kelly said " Hurts doesn't it bitch!?!" I quickly pull the potion out and launch it in the air at Alex. Right when I do Kelly punches Avery hard making Alex stumble back a few steps. I see the potion headed for Kelly!! I go to sling my arm at it to change the direction but I am tackled from the side. I exclaim as I hit the ground with Kevyn on top of me. We hear the sound of the vile shattering. We look over and see Kelly starting to catch on fire and not from teleporting; Kevyn shoves me down. Kelly's ocean blue eyes light up red as she screams in defeat and explodes into flames. Kevyn screams " NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" The blast knocks us off our feet. I raise up and see black smoke filling the room. As the smoke clears I see Kelly on her hands and knees. She quickly raises up staying down on her knees she growls loud as she looks up at the ceiling but the growl turns into a demonic scream as her face transforms into her demonic side. Her eyes are red with no pupils, her teeth are razor sharp, her ears are pointy, the veins are pulsating through her neck. She yells in her demonic voice " NOOOO!!!!!" All a sudden she returns to her human form and a swarm of black and red demonic energy is expelled from her and dissolves into thin air. She faints and drops to the ground on her stomach. Kevyn rushes over to her panicking. She said " What did you do?!?!" She touches Kelly's shoulder and exclaims in surprise immediately pulling her hand away. Kelly wakes up and looks up at Kevyn. Kelly said " Kev?? what happened??" She raises up slowly on her knees looking at Kevyn who is in shock. Kelly said " Why are looking at me like that??" Kevyn said " What did they do to you??".... Kelly said " What are you talking about?" Kelly said that as she stood up the same time as Kevyn. But Kevyn is backing away from her slowly. Kelly said " Kevyn what's wrong??" She goes to touch her and Kevyn quickly dodges it. She said " Don't fucking touch me you traitor!!" Kelly said " How dare you speak to me like that Kevyn!! I am your mother!" She shakes her head no and said " Not anymore.... my mother wasn't a witch!!!" Kelly is confused. She said " I'm not a witch! if I was you would be one too!" Kevyn said " They changed you... with that red potion that was meant for Alex!" Kelly is in shock as she raises up her hands looking down at them. Kelly said queitly " I'm not a demon anymore..." Kevyn said as tears ran down her face " And you're not evil anymore..." Kelly looks up at Kevyn and said " But I'm still the same... I'm still you're mom"... Kevyn shakes her head no then said " You're dead to me"... Kevyn teleports away by the use of flames. Dark lights swirl as Alex teleports away with Kevyn.
