Chapter 11

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

It's been about two weeks since the cabin vacation which turned out to be a trick. Apparently Kelly's Dad, Austin Davidson owned it and it was all a plan to get us under the same roof as Kelly and the others. At first we all thought things were fine until the others went missing leaving me and Riley searching for them which ended up in us getting into a fight with Alex and Lakein then we were tranquilized and we woke up in that machine Kelly had designed to look like that fair ride called Zero gravity. It turned on and started spinning down into the basement floor under that was hell. Valerie ended up escaping and stopping the fiery pit of hell by consuming the fire into her body she got everyone free and set the machine on fire it caught the whole cabin on fire and we all had to run out leaving our stuff. The cabin burnt to ashes leaving the foundation of the cabin. It's Thursday March 31, 2011 I'm in my room getting ready for bed tomorrow is Friday April 1, 2011 two years since the car pile up and that also happens to be Jenny's birthday. Two years ago on her thirteenth birthday is when the car pile up happened it killed Alex, her Mom Dana, her older sister Avery, Kyle, Kat and James. That is the most tragic thing to happen is for your parents to die on your birthday I can't even begin to think how she even feels. I pull the covers down and go to sit down when I see white lights appearing in front of the mirror on my dresser. I stand and watch until I see the face. She's a young white woman not much older than me, her long dark brown hair goes a little past her shoulders, Her eyes are ocean blue, she is about 5' 4" and she weights about 120 lbs. She looks confused like she doesn't know what's going on. She said " Nicole is that you? where's Alex?" I feel my heart sink metaphorically speaking. I almost didn't recognize her. I said " Avery???" She looks around my room then said " Where's Alex?" Oh my god... she doesn't remember what happened. I'm looking at Avery with this tense look. She said " Why are you looking at me like that Nicole? you are looking at me as if you haven't seen me in years". I said " That's because I haven't". She is so confused she turns around and looks at herself in the mirror. Avery exclaims in shock she looks at her hair and at her face. She was seventeen when she died in the car pile up she would be nineteen by now. Avery said " What happened? why is my hair suddenly brown when I always keep it blonde??" I said " Just sit down please". She sits down on the bed and I said " Avery...." As I look at her it's so hard to tell her that she has been dead for almost two years. I tell her everything even about Alex turning evil. She looks white as a ghost afterwards she hasn't said a word. I said " Are you okay?" She stands up and said " How did this happen?..." She starts to sob. I said " It wasn't an accident Kevyn Davidson caused the car pile up to happen.... she's the reason all of you are dead...." Avery said " And she's the reason you lost Alex... how did she turn evil in the first place?" Oh god I'm not looking forward to this. I said " She realized that me and her weren't getting back together.... I tried to reason with her and explain to her that I had moved on... but she wouldn't listen to me...." Avery puts her hands on her mouth and sobs in anguish. She said " So you are telling me that you gave up on her??... and you left her all alone... how could you do that to her?!?!" No she's blaming me for Alex turning evil when I already beat myself up over it enough. I said " Avery please.... don't.... I already beat myself over it enough but how could I just drop everything with Riley and suddenly act like nothing ever happened and pick up with Alex where we left off?...." She calms down once she realizes that I'm right. Avery said " I think I know why I'm back. the master guardian angels sent me back to try and talk some sense into Alex". I said " That means you are a guardian-angel witch". Avery looks at my back pack on the floor she points her hand at it and it floats up off the ground by the use of white lights. She waves her hand and a white light shield appears in front of her from her hand. Avery said " Kill me". I said " What?? No I can't". She said " I'm already dead if I'm vanquished I will Reconstitute myself". I don't like this one bit she holds her arms out. I bend down and open my night stand drawer pulling out a dagger. I'm so nervous I hold the dagger back like I'm ready to stab her but I exclaim and lower it. Avery said " I promise I'll be right back just do it." I said " I don't think I can". Avery said " Looks like I'm gonna have to piss you off. shouldn't be too hard seeing you're a Scorpio". She swings and punches me in the mouth hard my head turns a bit. I feel my eyes change over as I thrust the dagger into her chest she explodes into white lights that swirl around the room like fire flies. I see white lights appearing back in front of me. She said " Sorry for punching you but that was the only thing I could think of". I said " I have to tell my parents that you are back". Avery said " Are you sure? will they understand?" I said " That should". I look at the time on the alarm clock on my night stand it's 9:15 pm they should still be downstairs in the living room. I open my door and walk out with her following me downstairs I turn left into the living room from the dark hallway. I see Mom and Dad sitting on the couch watching TV and giggling at the show or movie they are watching. Mom sees me standing there in the doorway that leads to the hallway. She said " Nic? are you alright?" I said " Yeah it's just..." She raises up and sits the remote down on the wooden coffee table. She stands up from the couch and walks around the coffee table standing in front of me. Mom said " You look like you've seen a ghost". I can feel Avery standing behind me in the darkness Mom and Dad can't see her. I step out of in front of her and she walks into the darkness. Mom is eye level with Avery she stares at her for a few seconds until she realizes who she is. Mom said " I thought she was..." She stops talking as she looks at her. Avery said " Dead? well yeah". Mom said to me " Did you bring her back?" I said " No I don't think I would even know how I'm not that powerful". Avery said " They sent me back". She looks up at the ceiling. Dad gets up from the couch and walks over to us. He said " The angels brung her back to talk sense into Alex". Mom said " No offense Avery I know she's your sister but Alex is way too far gone to turn back she has done some awful things hasn't she Nicole?" She looks at me and Avery does too. She said to me " What did she do?" I look down at the floor then back up at them. I said " She raped me"... Avery is so stunned. She said " When?" I said " It was on May 4, 2010 it will be a year next month". Avery said " She really did that?" I said " Yeah.. she isn't the Alex we all knew this new one is vile she doesn't take no for answer and she won't stop until she gets what she wants". Avery said " I'm so sorry that happened". I said " It's okay I'm over now but it still bothers from time to time". Avery and I walk back up stairs she closes the door. I said " Well I need to "sleep" so I can get up for school in the morning". Avery said " I wish I could come with you but if I see Alex I'll probably slap the shit out of her for how she's treated you. I'll let you get some rest I'll go sleep on the couch". I said " You can sleep in the bed with me if you are comfortable". Avery said " Are you?" I said " Yeah you are like my sister". Avery takes off her grey jacket and her grey and white Nike air max commands. She walks around to the left side of the bed and gets in under the covers. I reach and turn off the lamp on my night stand. She said " Are you sure Riley will be okay with this?" I said " Yeah she knows you were like a sister to me besides you're straight". I wake up that morning to the sound of my alarm on my phone. I raise up and look over Avery is gone she is probably down stairs with Mom and Dad. I get up and walk out of my room I stop by the hall closet and get a clean towel. I walk into the bathroom and shower. I get out five minutes later and walk back to my room with my towel around my body. I walk in my room and close the door I get dressed putting on a grey laced bra with grey laced panties, my black polo, a pair of dark blue jeans that are American eagle regular fit and my new ZX 8000 black and white Adidas. I walk over to my night stand and pick up my phone, my black wallet it's a man's wallet cause I don't like to carry a purse. I slide my wallet in the right back pocket of my jeans and pick up my car keys off the stand I walk out the door closing it behind me and I walk down stairs and turn right by the stairs and into the kitchen where I find Mom, Dad and Avery. Mom cooked breakfast She made some toast and fried eggs. I sit down at the table and mom brings over my plate with two eggs and one piece of toast. She walks back over to the stove and cooks Eric's. She calls for him " Eric! come eat!" I see Avery's empty plate on the table after I finished eating I said " How did you sleep?" She said " Alright I guess". I hear Eric's foot steps traveling down the stairs. He said as he entered the kitchen " Sorry I was shaving my face". Mom sits his plate down on the table as he sits down then she sits down. Dad said to Eric " Let it grow son". Eric smiles then said " Shelby says it tickles". Mom coughs after she takes a drink of her coffee. I giggle softly so does Avery. Mom said to Avery " Sorry we are a bunch of pervs in this house". Dad winks at Mom as he takes a drink of his coffee Avery said " I don't mind that's how it was in my house with my mom, me and Alex".
