Chapter 27

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

Last time on the 28th of March we were having Shelby's baby shower when Josh, Drew, Ray and Alexia showed up and attacked us. Josh trapped Shelby in some kind of slime and tried to eat her while he was in his dragon form. But we stopped him after taking care of the others Valerie vanquished Alexia leaving Ray devastated and angry but she fled afterwards. Then on April 1st me, Riley and Jesse rushed over to Terri and Don's house because Jesse had been calling Terri over and over but nobody answered the phone so this scared us. When we made it there Jesse found the bedroom door locked and kicked it in revealing Terri tied to the bed with her shirt ripped opened and her blue jeans undone she had duct tape over her mouth so she couldn't yell and he raped her too. Vikram showed up and attacked us he slung me out the window and knocked me out for a few but I woke up and jumped in through the window and attacked him by slashing his chest open with my nails then I stabbed him with the letter opener about the same time he slashed my chest open with his claws infecting me with his venom but I got lucky because I'm half vampire and half witch it saved me from dying. Today is Friday April 20, 2012 it's Shelby's eighteenth birthday she is now an adult before the rest of us because she's always been a little older. After school we are at her parents house having a party. She is living between our house and her parents house when Eric turns eighteen they are getting their own place together Riley and I plan on doing the same once she turns eighteen. Shelby's parents also have built a tall wooden privacy fence around their backyard. Shelby's parents are human they don't have any powers they learned of Shelby's powers when she was little and studied them and eventually taught her to control them kind of like Valerie's parents they too didn't have powers but they didn't know how to help Valerie with her powers because they are so powerful but they accepted her for that just not for being a lesbian which is crazy I know but life is crazy and unpredictable sometimes. We are all hanging out in the backyard when Sam noticed that Valerie is missing. So everyone searches the house and outside for her but she is now where to be found. Mason and Mikayla are sniffing around for her scent. Mason walks out of the back door and motions for us to walk up there. It's me, Riley, Sam, Carly, Dani, Jenny, Cheyenne, Eric, Shelby, Mason, Mikayla, Mason Sr, Dad, Mom, Jesse, Kim, Kelly, Shelby's parents Randall and Paula, and of course Willow who is asleep on the couch surrounded by pillows to keep her from rolling off she is only twenty-three days old almost a month old. Mason is standing at the basement door. He looks at us and said " Her scent leads down there". Randall pulls out a set of keys and hands them to Mason with the key to unlock the door. Me, Riley, Sam, Mason and Mikayla walk down the stairs into the basement while the others stayed upstairs. Mason turns the light on and there is a bunch of old boxes containing old decorations, old clothes, old toys of Shelby's when she was little, an old bow flex machine located on the right wall beside the washer and dryer. Mason is smelling around so is Mikayla. He said " It's gone she was down here". Sam said " What the hell was she doing down here?" Riley said " Did you see her walk in the house?" Sam said " Actually no I didn't it's almost like she just vanished". We walk back upstairs to the living room with the others. About that time Sam's phone beeps with a message. She pulls out her phone and a video plays of what looks like Ray in a bed; who is obviously on top of a girl using a strap on with a cover over them. The person filming gets closer as Ray growls grabbing the back of the girl's dark brown hair pulling her head back the girl let's out a moan it's Valerie having sex with Ray. Soon the video cuts to a man with short dirty blonde hair on top of Valerie thrusting into her as she layed on her back presumably being filmed by Ray. The man turns his head looking at the camera with a wicked smile as he continued it's Josh with Valerie. Sam slings her phone and it lands on the dinner table beside her as she starts to cry. Riley said to Sam " Something isn't right she wouldn't cheat on you especially with Josh". Sam said " I know she wouldn't... they are so fucking dead".. Riley said " Ray had to of cast a spell on her to make her". A voice catches our attention " She was more fun that I thought she was gonna be". Sam turns around and there stands Ray smiling evilly her dark blue eyes piercing with evil as she winks at us. Sam said " I'm gonna fucking kill you".. Ray spots Willow over on the couch in Paula's arms. She said as she looked at Sam " There is an infant in the room don't want her to get hurt now do we?" Shelby steps in front of her mom. Sam said " Where is she Ray??" Ray said " Wouldn't you like to know". Sam snatches Ray up by her throat then said as she stared her down " Where the fuck is she?" Ray smiles evilly then said " Right here". She snaps her fingers and Josh blink teleports beside her with an unconscious Valerie in his arms in a firemen's carry who is fully dressed in the clothes she was wearing; a dark grey v-neck t-shirt, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of dark grey ultrarange Vans with a black stripe on the middle with white trim and the bottoms are tan. He smiles weirdly at Valerie and lays her down on the loveseat in front of them. Sam gets down on her knees and starts trying to wake her up but she isn't waking up. Sam said as she shakes her " Baby... baby wake up... Valerie.." Sam looks up at them then said " Why isn't she waking up?!" Sam feels her pulse. Ray said " You like it? I call it sleeping beauty a powerful potion that makes Firestarter's fall into a very deep sleep one that she might not ever wake up from". Riley said " Sleeping beauty wakes up from a kiss from her true love". Ray said " It's not gonna be that simple this isn't a fairytale girls this is real life and if you don't wake her in twenty-four hours she will probably die". Riley said " You can't kill Valerie nobody can". Josh said " She may appear to be invincible but she isn't. You can't just kill a being like Valerie you have to really get her". Ray said " And a powerful potion that is made to kill Firestarter's will do it". I said " I thought there wasn't vanquishing potion to kill Firestarter's?" Ray said " There isn't but that doesn't mean someone can't make one to try". Kelly said " My dad made it didn't he?" Ray smiles evilly and said " You guessed right traitor". Josh winks at me then he holds Ray's hand and they teleport away. Sam is freaking out. She said " How the hell are we gonna fix this?? if she dies..." Riley interrupts Sam as she begins to cry. She said as she held Sam's arms " Stop.. She's not gonna die... because we won't let that happen we are gonna find a way to get her back". Mom said " There has to be a reversal potion we could make to wake her up". She thinks for a minute then said " I bet Noah could help us". The rest of us teleported back to Jesse's house away from Willow to keep her out of the line of fire. Eric and Shelby stayed at her parents house with Willow, Randall and Paula. My Dad teleported with Valerie in his arms and he gently lays her down on the couch. He said after sitting her down " Is she normally that cold? she runs hot right?" Sam said " She's cold??" Jesse takes a roll thermometer and rolls it across Valerie's forehead. Jesse reads it " 98. 6". Sam said " I guess she cools down a little when she's sleeping but her normal temperature is over 102 when she is awake". Mom has been deep in thought since we got here. She said " I have an idea for a potion we could make to wake her up". Jesse said " What do you got?" Mom said " You know how people put hot sauce in someone's mouth while they are sleeping and the heat wakes them up?" Jesse said " Yeah?" Mom said " What if we add a bunch of spices and peppers in a potion along with some exotic flowers used for potions then added Valerie's blood". Jesse said " Sounds like it could work". Mom said " We don't know until we try". Me, Riley, Sam, Mom, Jesse, Kim and Kelly went over to the agency while Dad and Brandon stayed with Valerie; Jenny, Cheyenne, Dani and Carly were called away on a different mission by Noah. We teleported over to the agency appearing in the lobby where a man lead us back to Noah's office. He opens the doors for us and Noah is sitting at his desk He said " Hello ladies what can I do for you?" Mom said " We need some help". Noah has a concerned look on his face. He said " What's wrong?" Mom said " Austin Davidson has made a powerful potion called Sleeping beauty and Ray Stiner has used it on Valerie putting her into a very deep sleep and we can't wake her up". Noah stands up from his chair and walks over to a huge book case on the wall on the right side of the room. He scans the books until he spots one. He picks up a big book with a black cover that says Mythical beings and creatures. He walks back over to his desk and opens the book to a page that has a art design of a women that has a body made up of fire like Valerie's. Noah said " Firestarter's are very rare creatures that are mostly mortals but not like a normal mortal. They age very slowly like Vampires and eventually stop aging becoming immortal once reaching adulthood and she is very close. Their powers are linked to their emotions like ours but more intense when they lose control bad things happen they can destroy us all in the blink of an eye. They can be good or evil but they have to choose. They are often targets of other evil beings to kill and obtain their extremely rare powers to have for their own but nobody has ever killed a Firestarter, many have tried and many have failed. I have been doing research on Valerie ever since she was born. She is one of the first ones to be born in a hundred years there could be more but they haven't been found. This girl is without a doubt a legendary being and she has to be saved at all cost. Now the exotic flowers you need can be found in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil". Mom and Jesse said with surprise " Brazil??" He said " Yes Brazil and I warn you this is one of the most dangerous and truly terrifying rainforest. you make one mistake out there and it's over I want you guys to promise me that you will be safe and stick together." Mom said " We promise besides we are all kinda dead anyway". Jesse said " Correction we are all immortal but the five of you haven't actually died like me so I'm the dead one". Kelly said " I kind of did die when Valerie hurt me that one time but my dad gave me an immortality potion that saved me". Noah said " Still be careful ladies". Kelly said " We'll be careful Charlie". He said " A Charlie's Angels reference I do like the sound of Noah's Angels". He smiles and we all giggle.
