Meanwhile at her home on Earth, Jonghyun had tried to search for his scent, Key's scent as he flew around, trying to pick the slightest scent of either of them but none had he picked yet. He was furious with Tao, but he was fuming with anger towards himself more than anything because it seemed like his job as an Angel was coming to waste. He even couldn't protect his own kind after Taemin got knocked out by Tao, dragging Key along with him.

He decided to go back home, her house. As he arrived,  he had hoped Key was sitting there, await for her to come back. Only Taemin and Minho were there, both were too engrossed out with their conversation until they couldn't notice he was there. He plopped on the couch, stretching his body a bit because flying all day could be quite exhausting. He tried to catch his breathe but suddenly he fell ever so freely in the air and immediately he stretched out his wings to keep him from falling.

"What the-- where am I?" He thought to himself, flapping his wings to keep him levitate. Sounds of wheeping and sobbing were heard nearby so he quietly fly, trying not to take anyone's attention. The place was eerily quiet, unduly dark but he's an Angel, he can see things clearly like in midday. His heart strings were pulled so strong he just followed where his wings lead him to.

As his vision captured a sight of a woman who were sobbing uncontrollably while holding something, his nose picked up the most familiar scent that he had tried to search as he was getting nearer to her. He landed gracefully, he needed to make sure that was really her, and not the ones who sent him flying to the wall the other day.

____ had brought herself and Key to who knows where but it's the place she had in mind to get away from the two monsters. More importantly, to get her best friend far away from there. It was a devastating state to see Key who was covered in bruises, deep cuts on his stomach and behind his ankle, his blood was flowing freely like a waterfall. His necks were filled with bite marks and she knew that Tao and the other guy must had been feasting on him.

"Key, stay with me, please--please", she muttered as Key didn't respond to her words. She laid her hand on his heart that has been stabbed by that crazy guy, hoping to have anything in mind to heal him back. Her mind suddenly went to Jonghyun. The beating of his heart was getting slower and slower under her palm.

"Noo Key! Key please don't!" The tears started to roll continuously as the heartbeat began to fade.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!"

She screamed out as loud as she could. The pain was exceedingly immeasurable this time. A strong glow of light suddenly burst out of her palm and sucked themselves into his wounds. The light was shining the whole place and Jonghyun couldn't see it so he closed his eyes. He was never more surprised to see the power, more so, from a human.

Her wings sprang out with such glorious but what captured his interest was her wings were black.. And much bigger than them Angels. When the light faded, his heart was no longer beating. She sniffed, sobbed, taking him into her arms, never wanting to let go. She had lost someone who's precious to her; who's kind to her; who's willing to take the blow for her; who's the only friend she ever known.

"I'm sorry.... I'm sorry, Key. Had I known about the dagger, I would love to switch places.."

Jonghyun caught the spark that came from the root of her wings. His breathe hitched when the root of her wings changing their color from black to pure white and all the way up to the tip. He had never seen such beautiful occurrence of one's wings turned to white. He walked to her, laying his hand on her shoulder. The sadness that was surrounding her was too much for him.

"Jo-Jonghyun?" She squeaked, her eyes red from all the crying, even hiccup was making its way. Jonghyun could see how Key's lifeless body being held tightly by her. Without saying anything, he hugged her and she broke out in tears, unable to suppress her feelings anymore.

The last time he had cried was for Clara, that was years ago. This time, he had shed his tears again for the loss of a great friend. 'I rather give my life to save her if that's what the Fallen One needs'. His words rang in Jonghyun's mind so sudden. Key truly did that. But his life ended not by the Fallen One, but his goons.

After that, Jonghyun decided to bring his body back to her home. At first, ____ wanted to come along but Jonghyun needed her to stay. Judging by her growing power, he slowly started to pour his trust on Kris and let her be in his care. Now he understood why he was there. She had the ability to think of someone and that person will show up. Also, she could teleport wherever she like because that's what she did when she tried to escape. Jonghyun had told her some of it because he didn't dare to tell all of them. He needed to make sure on what he had read back in Kingdom was studied well.

She gave one last good bye to Key and Jonghyun before teleport both of them to her home. As for herself, she teleported herself back to Kris's. She needed to control her powers and how to use them, that's what Jonghyun had told her because one day, it might come in handy.
