Your POV;
Holy mother, a huge black wings was attached to my back. I tried to touch it, it was surely soft, but I can feel it was strong.
"Come on, let's get you flying" Tao said and grabbed me by my wrist.
He led me straight to the wall making me stop my tracks. He looks at me.
"Are you serious? Don't you see that's a wall in front of us?" I asked.
I feel annoyed when my question answered by his light chuckle.
"There's nothing to worry about, ____."
With that, he pulled me and I quickly shut my eyes. Afterwards, I don't feel anything and slowly open them, just to find myself outside of the mansion. Tao took a few steps back and stare at me.
I stare him back, brows lifted up.
He looks up and let out an exasperating sigh.
"Think fly"
I did what he told me to. As I think of flying, my body was lifted in the air and my feet was no longer in contact with the ground. Tao instantly clap vigorously with what I did.
"Well done! Now try to fly away" he said.
I blink a few times. Unconsciously, I look down just to see the height was high enough for me to feel the twist in my stomach. Apparently, my wings began to bring me to the front and back, from left to right, almost as if I was lost control of my own wings.
"Relax, girl. If you're scared, your wings will lost faith in you and now, it's happening. Don't tell me you're afraid of the little height?" He asked nonchalantly.
I let out a grunt hearing his question.
"Oh now you ask me? Great, mentor of the year. Good job, coach and yes, I'm afraid of heights!" I shrieked when my wings starting to bounce me up and down and Tao's laugh just fueled my hatred towards him, plus didn't help at all.
"Now that's your problem. Good luck trying to overcome your fear, girl"
I yelled when my wings brought me to a window and I cover myself with both of my arms as the pieces of the glass smashed against my body and land on the side of my body on the carpeted floor with a hard thump.
I groaned in pain as I try to get up, but a grip on my arm startled me and found myself on my feet. I look around, wondering who's bedroom did I get myself crashed into.
Oh, it's my room.
When I look in front, it was Kris with his eyes widened when he see me. Letting out a nervous chuckle, he cupped my face with a worry expression.
"Did he hurt you? ____, did he hurt you?"
"No...well, he did before planting the wings--"
The words stuck in my throat as I felt his body tensed up. I quickly grabbed his hands and look him in the eyes.
"Kris, I'm okay. Truly I am. Besides, having wings is the one thing I never expect in my life. Now, Tao is teaching me how to use them" I carefully explained. His body relaxed and pat me on the head.
I remembered something and pulled the hem of his shirt. He turned around.
"What do you know of my powers?" I calmly asked.
His brows scrunched together.
"Who told you that? Tao?"
I slowly nod my head. Exhaling, he turn his body facing me.
"The moment I took you here..."
I nod, gesturing him to continue but he shake his head.
"Never mind. Let's go outside" he said and disappeared behind the doors. I was dumbfounded by his words. Grumbling and mumbling to myself, I followed him outside. Tao was folding his arms with a huge smile. Kris walked towards him and stood beside him.
"Sooooo, what do you think?" Tao asked.
Kris looks at me before facing him.
"Getting stronger, just like you said" he replied.
Suddenly his wings stretched majestically right in front of my eyes. I find it very hard to believe it at first. Because, well, this is my first time seeing them, but they were so big compared to mine. But I notice something at the end of his wings. A little bit of white feathers...
"Nice one. I'm gonna go prepare us for the battle" was Tao said before vanished into thin air.
Wait what?
Did he just say battle?
I walk up to Kris and grabbed his arm. He was surprised and almost winced in pain. That was when I know my strength so I loosened it up.
"What?" He asked me.
"What? Excuse me, what? Did you not hear what he just said? Prepare for battle? This is insane. This is just perfectly freaking insane" I couldn't get a hold of myself and starting to ramble, letting go of his arm and pace back and forth.
Then, a soft touch on my shoulder manage to stop me from pacing. He turn me around so I was facing him.
"Listen, the reason I took you here was you have something I needed" he then points to where my heart was, "your heart. I was planning to kill you for it, but something changed."
I quirked my eyebrows hearing his explanation. My heart? What is so special about my heart?
"Eat this"
Without waiting, he shoved what looks like jelly bean into my mouth. It was sweet, then he ate one too.
"Get ready" he said before holding me tight.
Suddenly the place was changed in a blink of an eye. We are in my living room.
"_____!?"
