"Well well well. Looky here. The flyless angel"

Your brows woven in confusion.

Flyless angel?

Your eyeball turn to Taemin. Who are they talking about when there was only angel beside you?

'Don't tell me it's...'

Then, you turned to your side where Taemin stand.

He looks at you with a sad expression.

Taking his hand, you squeeze it gently.

"Oh stop it. Tao, take her"

Tao marched towards you and Taemin jumped in front of you, his hand made a gesture in which Tao suddenly can't move.

"What the fu-- what did you do, you bastard!"

Apparently, you realized that Taemin just used his powers to protect you and all you did was doing nothing.

Guilty? Yes.

"Surprise surprise. You've grown stronger than before" Kris said and clapped.

You were puzzled and all of the sudden Kris appeared in front of you and gripped Taemin's neck. Your eyes widened to see Kris's eyes turned black and his veins starting to emerged on his face, his arms..

"No! Stop it!" You shouted.

Trying to save Taemin, you pull Kris away from him but to no avail. After all, he's the Fallen One.

Your tears escaped seeing Taemin slowly stopped struggling. Closing your eyes, you're debating yourself either to follow Kris or just let Taemin dies.

'I'm sorry Minho'

"D-don't....d-d-do it..."

You heard Taemin gasping for air.

Inhaling deeply, putting your hand on Kris's shoulder, your lips quivered, trying to say the words.

"I'll go with you. Just let him go, Kris. Please" you plead.

"No...." You heard Taemin whispered.

You felt a lump in your throat as images of your parents, Key and Minho flashing before your eyes.

How would they react when they find you missing?

You feared the possibilities they could blame Key for your disappearance and worse, putting him in jail for it.

You smiled when thinking about Minho. You don't want him to hurt and you don't care less about your own. You would rather die than see him hurt because of you.

You suddenly feel soft hands on your left cheek and open your eyes.

"Are you ready?" Kris asked and your eyes landed on Taemin who's sitting on the ground.

"Can I say at least goodbye to him?" You asked and point to Taemin.

You approached Taemin as soon as Kris nodded and wrapped your arms around him.

"Stay safe and please protect my friend" you whispered.

"I won't let you do this--"

"Please don't. Everyone who's around me getting hurt and it's all for one reason. ME. And I won't let that happen again. Promise me one thing. Protect my family and yourself at all cost. And please tell Minho that.."

You trailed for a while before continue,

"I will never forget him"

You felt Taemin's arms wrapped around your body and buried his head on your shoulder.

"I...I promise. But promise me that you will be okay"

You smiled and a single tear escaped from your eyes.

"I promise"

Then you kiss his cheek before pulled yourself away from him and walked towards Kris who's waiting.

"A little help here..."

Both of you turned to Tao who were still freezed.

Kris made a wave with his hand and Tao can move again. He approached the both of you.

"Now, shall we?" Kris asked with a sly grin and you timidly nod your head.

'I'm sorry Minho. But I hope you know that I love you too and the least I can do to protect you is this'

Kris hold your hand and suddenly you found yourself in a dark surroundings. You can't see a living thing in the place.

It's as if you closed your eyes but you're not. You squeezed his hand in order to take his attention.

"Yes princess"

His voice, Kris's voice may sound cold but somehow made you feel a little better due to this new surroundings.

"W-where are we?" Your voice were shaking.

He pulled your hand and lead the way and you just followed him quietly.

"Aaaarrrrrrr!!"

A loud shriek made you jumped and immediately hug whoever's in front of you.

Your heart is beating loudly against your ribcage made you close your eyes.

"Quiet down Ezkiel!"

Kris shouted and made the thing, 'Ezkiel' stopped shrieking. When he shouted, his chest were vibrated and you realized you hugged him.

You felt his hands unwrapped your arms and lay his hands on your shoulders.

"Hey, it's okay. He won't hurt you. We're here" he said with a soft voice.

You slowly open your eyes and lift your head to see him. You were puzzled. The way he talk to you was so different than before. His fingers gently putting your hair back in its place.

"Come" he said and offered his hand to you. Without thinking twice, you take his hand and his fingers intertwined with yours.

When you turned your head to the front, you were surprised to see a big, yet beautiful mansion standing majestically in front of you.

"This is your home?" You unconsciously asked.

"Yes. And yours too. You will live with me"

That moment, you felt your heart shattered to pieces.
