Chap. 40

Minho's POV;

Arriving to her home, from the doorway, I could hear sobs.

"Taemin? Who's that?"

"That's Key"

My brows woven in curiosity.

Why would he cried?

As I step inside, Jonghyun turned to his left to look at me.

"Key, this is Minho"

When Key lift his head up, his eyes are red and puffy.

I approached them and sit on the carpet.

"So you're the one who supposed to look out for _____"

Without answering, I just nod my head. I know the feeling when it comes to losing somebody.

"What am I suppose to tell her parents if they come home? Oh hi there, your daughter has been taken by the Fallen One and I'm truly sorry because I was completely blacked out the moment she was taken" Key said breathlessly.

"First of all, we are not going to tell them because they won't be home until next week" Jonghyun said with knitted brows.

All eyes turn to him including mine.

"How would you---"

Suddenly, a pop! sound startled us.

It was near us.

"It's her phone" Key mumbled after found it on the side of the couch.

"What does it say?"

We wait patiently, waiting for Key to read the message.

"It's from her mom. We're really sorry dear but we maybe come home next week. Be safe"

"What did I tell you? You know what, I think she feels all alone even her parents with her" Jonghyun said.

"Yeah, spoken like you never live with her" Key snapped.

"Exactly. Don't you see? Her parents are too busy with work they didn't even ask her well-being. How was her day, was she all right living by herself? Isn't that what parents suppose to do?"

Key seems to be taken back with his answer.

"You're lonely too, aren't you? Your parents and hers went away for work and sometimes for weeks they haven't come home" Jonghyun continued.

"How would you know that?"

"Cause.." Jonghyun paused, "I've been in your shoes before. All of us angels have their own life before we have these" Jonghyun said and stretched his wings.

Key didn't even bother to look at his wings. I could sense his sadness through his aura.

"And because of that, and the good deeds you have done, you may have the chance to be one of us" I smiled to him.

"And _____ too. But first we have to find her, if you want to" Jonghyun said as if to provoke him.

"_____ is my best friend. I will not waste a minute not to find her. I rather give my life to save her if that's what the Fallen One needs"

Wow, the three of us truly surprised by his devotion to her.

Especially Jonghyun. His mouth was wide open.

"Well, what're we waiting for?"

Taemin said with enthusiasm.

"Come on" I said and walk the door.

"Taemin, you okay bringing him with you?" Jonghyun asked.

Taemin just smile and pat Key's back.

"Nah, I'm good" was all he said.

"Let's go"

Jonghyun and I stretched our wings before flapping them. Looking down below, I could see Taemin and Key talk a bit before they vanish into thin air.

Now, all I have to do is find her.
