Chap. 61

I'm waiting for the time for him to strike again so I play it cool. I fold my arms, tapping my foot and hum to myself. His giggle echoed in the room.

Goosebumps risen all over my body, signalling he is nearby. Or not.

"What's the matter, _____? Waiting for me?"

I kept quiet, ignoring his endless mocking. I wonder if this is his way torturing people before he killed them. Poor them. He inhaled and let out an exasperated sigh before I heard something jump beside me.

My neck was gripped and he slammed into the wall, probably leaving some cracks in them later. I struggle to breathe and held his wrist but the grip began to loose, enables me to suck in oxygen again.

The thought of killing him came again, but when I was about to reach for his hand, I seem like couldn't do it.

'Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!'

The whispering was getting louder and louder by the minute until I have to close my eyes. A hand was on my cheek pulling me to the side and brush them lightly.

My head begin to throb in pain and let out a whimper, hand up to my temple.

"Let me take that away" he said huskily.

I have no idea what he meant by that and my brain stop working when a warm set of lips crashed onto mine leaving me dumbfounded. I blink my eyes trying to see but still blind by the darkness.

Tao's lips slowly moving gently against mine but I have no intention to kiss him back. The weird part is, when he connects our lips the whispering faded into the back of my mind.

He still kisses me, waiting for me to give him something back. The kiss felt so good now, I close my eyes feeling his warmth radiating from his body and his lips.

"Come on, ____. Isn't this what you wanted?" he whispers.

He brush his lips on mine making me shudder. Slowly his fingers went up to my wounded arm and slightly touch it. Then he lays his palm flat on the wound, so I shut my eyes expecting the pain but no. I feel nothing.

"Shh, it's gone now"

He took my fallen hair and put it behind my ears. He pull my chin with his index finger, resting his forehead on mine.

"Together we could rule. Underworld, Earth and the Kingdom itself is in our hands"

He take my hands and grasp them.

"You could have whatever you wanted once you're with me"

I blink with what he said. Whatever I want?

Smiling inwardly, I look down on my feet if I could then he pull my face up and land on my lips again, this time, I kiss him back.

The kiss was gentle. Instinctively, my hands went up to his face while the other tangling perfectly in his brown furry locks between my fingers. Our lips moulded with such synchronisation I moan a bit.

He chuckled, deepening our kiss. Good thing I was against the wall so I didn't fall over. His hand was on my waist, slowly find their way under my torn shirt, circling lazily on my skin.

I did the same though, my hands went under his shirt feeling his warm abs on my palm. The kiss began to be aggressive when he leaving trails of kisses on my neck making me moan endlessly.

This isn't right.

I push him with both hands stopping him from doing that. He did this the last time when we were alone.

He rests his forehead on mine, slightly out of breathe.

"We were good, why?"

"I'm..."

Shoot I'm out of ideas. What should I tell him?

'Think ____ think!'

"You're what?" He asked.

"I'm tired. Can you let me go?" I whispered seductively into his ears.

Where the hell did I learn to do that? Geez this place really changing me into something else.

He chuckled in his throat and cup my cheek.

"See ya later"

He kisses me again before vanishing into thin air. The lights flickered on and I found myself leaning on the wall of my bedroom.

I look around me.

Wait what just happened?

My forehead began to crease trying remember. Then the door burst open, startling me to death until I have to clutch my chest. I didn't realise I was holding a breathe and let them out after Kris step inside with worried expression painted on his face.

He closed the door behind him, walking to my bed and sat on the edge. He pat beside him, motioning me to sit next to him.

Quietly, I walk to him and sat beside. I don't know why I feel so nervous when he's staring at me like I was something to eat.

"How're you feeling?" He asked.

My body was washed with relief hearing his voice. I bit my lower lip before answering,

"Yeah. Why not?" I replied calmly.

His brows scrunched together.

"Do you remember anything? Anything at all?"

I wonder off a bit.

"No, nothing. What happened?"

He continued to stare at me sending chills down my spine. I certainly do not feel comfortable when he does that. I notice something changed.

His eyes from light brown change to black, covering most of his eyes which making me having a twist in my stomach. He growled in his throat and stands abruptly, producing my heartbeat rises frantically.

He march to the door and and slam it shut. My body glued to my spot, thinking what possibly happened to me. How did I get into this room again? What happened before?

My mind was bottled with such thoughts I didn't realise Hara was taking a step towards me and take a seat where Kris sat just now. She tucked my hair to my ear and rest her hand on my shoulder.

Something doesn't feel right.

Hara, the one I know would not be doing this.

Once I lift my eyes to see hers, my breathe stuck in my throat once I figure out those eyes belongs to whom.

'Hara' was giving me a sickening smile and lick her lips.

Something shone out behind her as the light of my room bounces on it.

I wouldn't need another minute to figure out what the thing was when she began taking out slowly from behind her.

"No where to run now, ____"
