The next morning Madison and Kris woke up when the alarm went off. It was a little later then usual.
"Holy notifications batman." Madison says seeing her phone had lit up.
"What baby?" Kris asks.
"All these notifications." Madison says.
"What's wrong?" Kris asks.
"The Caps broke Covid protocol." Madison says.
"What the fuck? How?" Kris asks.
"Some of the players went out of their hotel and ate." Madison says.
"Wow." Kris says.
"Yes Ovi was one of them." Madison replies.
"Well there goes the idea we had for the kids." Kris says.
"What?" Madison says.
"We were going to go to the Adventure park and then to Pirates Cove. But now we can't." Kris says.
"It's okay we can go to Sid and Nadia's. He has the play area and he has an indoor heated pool. I mean I know that its not a waterpark but it is something. Or we can stay here and make our own fun with them." Madison says.
" Well we have a game room too and an indoor pool and the rink. But we can ask the kids and let them decide." Kris replies.
"Okay. And we stay together so its not like we will be breaking any rules." Madison says.
"Right we will figure it out." Kris says.
They both get up and get dressed. They head downstairs. The gang meets there.
"So lets make brunch and then we can figure out what the kids want to do." Kris says.
"Yeah since are plans are out because of the covid exposure." Sid says.
"Well we will have to go and get tested first." Madison replies.
"Yes we will have to. Then we can figure out what the kids want to do." Nadia says.
"Yes tested first to make sure we are negative then do what the kids want." Autumn says.
"I can't believe the Capitals did that." Justin says.
"I know right. Crazy." Taylor says.
"Least the NHL is taking it seriously and did something about it." Jake says.
"I know right." Meredith says.
"That is a good thing." Tristan says.
"Yes it is." Anna says.
"I agree." Geno says.
They head out to the car and pile in. They head to the practice facility and Madison gets the test kits ready. Nadia and Meredith did the same. One by one the Penguins players go through their line. Once they were tested Autumn, Taylor, Madison, Meredith, Anna and Nadia get tested as well as the rest of the staff. Finally they head back to the house. Ruth and Trina had gotten the kids up.
"We are going to go do school and education with them." Kris says.
"Yes while you girls make lunch." Sid says.
"Sounds good." Nadia says.
"Yes we are making mamwich and mac and cheese." Madison says.
"Perfect." Justin says.
