Chapter 1558: Flying to New York/Empire State of Mind

The next morning Kris and Madison woke up when the alarm went off.

"Good morning baby. No practice today we are just leaving for New York in a little bit." Kris says.

"Okay baby sounds good I need to pack." Madison says.

"Yes pack for the kids too cus we are taking them with us." Kris says.

"Okay baby." Sounds good." Madison says.

They both get up and get dressed. Madison goes and packs for her, Kris and the kids. She then got his suits together. Finally Kris grabs the luggage and Madison grabs his suits. They head downstairs. Kris takes the stuff out to the car and loads it in. They then head into the game room meeting the gang. Ruth and Trina had breakfast made so they get the kids up and sit down to eat.

"Okay kids we have a little fun planned after we land in New York." Sid says.

"Yeah it will be fun." Kris says.

"It's always fun in New York." Madison says.

"Amen to that." Nadia says.

"Yeah even when you have done the tours multiple times it's still fun." Justin says.

"So true." Jake says.

"I know I love New York." Taylor says.

"Me too. But I hope the stores are opening again because I want to shop." Autumn says.

"I think they are slowly opening back up." Tristan says.

"Yeah I think they are too." Meredith says.

"Can't wait." Geno replies.

"Me either. Glad we are coming on this trip." Anna says.

The kids were excited and buzzing with excitement which made the guys happy. They finished eating. They cleaned up and then got ready to leave. They all head out to cars and pile in. They head to the airstrip. They arrive a little bit later and park. They then board the planes. Ruth, Trina and the kids had their own plane. Once the team was on board the plane and they were cleared they take off.

A little bit later they arrive in New York. They get off the plane and onto the bus. A rental car was waiting for Ruth and Trina. They head to the hotel and check in. They head up to the penthouse. Ruth and Trina get the kids settled in. Kris and Madison grab a room for them and head in. Kris sits the luggage down and Madison hangs up his suits. They then head out into the main room. Everyone meets there and they head out to the car. They pile in and head to their first stop.

One of the most transformative moments in New York City's history occurred with the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. With their  ticket,  they enjoy a self-guided tour, where they were able to take as much time as they  need exploring the sight. Highlights include the carefully curated artifacts, personal accounts, and memorial exhibit honoring those that lost their lives. The girls took lots of pictures. They had just come out.

"Mama were you old enough to remember 9-11?" Micah asks.

"Yes sweetie I was. I remember it like it just happened too. I was a freshman in high school." Madison says.

"Yup I was a freshmen too." Nadia says.

"Yeah I remember all hockey games got cancelled even though we were in Canada." Kris says.

"Yeah it was nuts even being Canadian it effected us." Sid replies.

"I was 10 but even I still remember it. I can tell you vividly what I was doing that day." Justin says.
