He had almost gone back to Gabriel's familiar bakery where he was supposed to be. The only problem was that he didn't feel like meeting Gabriel after what happened... or almost happened.

It would be strange and awkward and Gabriel would try to reject him in the most friendly way possible and it would be all ruined.

That was why he went to the coffee shop this time because he needed some breakfast and most importantly, coffee. When it was his turn to order breakfast, he said good morning to the cashier who was pretty for sure with black hair and green eyes. She also didn't look a day older than eighteen.

"Good morning, sir. What can I get to you?" She looked up and down his body while biting her lower lip. It was easy to understand what she was thinking about and although it was always nice to know that others thought that you were attractive, it felt very inappropriate with this teenager.

Although he was nothing but friendly and yet professional, he ended up getting a flirty wink from the girl and even her number which he gave back to her. The girl looked embarrassed and angry so before she said anything, he got out of the way and went to find somewhere to sit.

He was about to sit alone on the table close to the door when he noticed that someone had been paying attention to their conversation. When he stared back at the woman who was actually his age, she didn't look away.

Instead, she did the same what he did with the cashier and smirked at Alex before nodding at the empty chair next to her, almost like inviting him to sit next to her. He had almost denied the silent invite but something was surprising about her confidence that he had to see more.

"Got away from her, huh? I gotta tell you, you're not the only one to who she gives her number to so don't feel special," the unknown woman said for some reason. Not knowing what to say to that, he decided to ignore it completely and introduce himself instead.

"Hey, I'm Alex," he introduced himself first. The woman smiled and now it was nice and friendly, not flirty or seductive like the cashier's, before shaking his hand.

"Bianca. Are you visiting here or have you just moved?" she asked curiously, making it clear that she was also American. Her hair was dark brown and wavy, she had a soft, heart-shaped face, green eyes and minimal makeup. Immediately Alex started to compare her to Gabriel which wasn't fair to her because she was a real beauty.

"I'm visiting a friend and leave on the 14th day back home to Michigan. What about you?" He didn't know where this was going or why did she invite him over but a little small talk wouldn't harm anyone.

"You're American too? What a small world! I live in Chicago but my grandparents live here and I'm here the whole of July," Bianca explained.

"Well, that's not that far," Alex blurted out almost like they had many plans to meet each other back in States. Luckily Bianca only nodded and asked more questions about him such as his job, family and so on. Although he still compared her to Gabriel, Alex realized that she wasn't all that bad.

"I have to leave now and this might sound a bit blunt but are you free later this evening? Around 8pm?"

"Sure." After everything that happened - or hadn't happened - with Gabriel, maybe this was exactly what he needed. Hell, it had been over two months since he had sex!

But was he planning to do that with Bianca tonight? Well, she was quite sexy and nice so why not? It's not like he had any real shot with Gabriel so he was almost ready to give up on anything ever happening between the two of them.

Hell, they had almost kissed! Again with the almost. That had happened when they were in the bed and he had stupidly believed that perhaps Gabriel wouldn't have flinched away as he feared. And he didn't, instead, he just stared at him with fear in his eyes.
