On the next morning Gabriel gave a wide smile to another customer who probably thought he was nothing but a creep with the way he was smiling non-stop. The same thought had been on his mind for hours but he hadn't had time to think about it more.

Then he felt someone touching his shoulder and looked up only to see his employee Dominique smiling at him. "Qui est-il?" (Who is he?)

Gabriel only rolled his eyes at the curious thirty-five years old. He knew he had to tell something to stop her from asking too many questions but he didn't want to tell everything that was on his mind.

God, there wasn't even anything to tell! He had only met a very handsome man who made him smile more in one day than he had done in a long time. It wasn't a good thing, far from that. He wasn't ready to be madly in love with another man who would only break his heart in the end.

"Personne." (No one) He wasn't looking at her so she wouldn't see the lie. That was a waste of time because she saw right through it.

"Personne ne sourit comme ça sans raison." (No one smiles like that without a reason) She gave him a knowing look before going back to work, leaving Gabriel alone with his thoughts.

His happy mood couldn't be only because of that handsome American. It had been a while since someone was interested in him and even longer since he wanted to be with a man. Sure, his divorce was finalized almost a year ago but moving on was much harder than he thought.

Whenever he even talked with other men he kept comparing them to his ex-husband. That was completely pointless because that man, his chosen family, had made him feel even worse than his mother when she had rejected him for his sexuality.

"Eh bien, je fais! Je viens de dormir vraiment bien." (Well, I do. I just slept very well) Yes, he had slept surprisingly well the whole night after getting Alex out of his apartment. While Èlise, who was rude to Alex for some idiotic reason, left already an hour later after coming, Alex stayed till late evening.

During that time they watched movies and he even tried to teach him some french but he wasn't in the best mood to learn a good language. Gabriel knew the truth, though, and that was the fact that he didn't have enough patience for that and he seemed to be bad with languages in general.

Speaking of Alex, Gabriel was surprised to see Alex walking into the bakery at 10am. He did promise to come but he thought that it was more or less an empty promise. He didn't owe Gabriel anything and he couldn't get angry if he decided to waste his time somewhere else but it was nice to know that he kept his promises. At least, this one he did.

"You look happy, I like it," was the first thing Alex did before giving his order. "So... have you been at Louvre before?"

He shouldn't have but Gabriel couldn't help himself. A chuckle came out of his mouth before he could stop it and he didn't want Alex to think that he was laughing at him. While taking his order, Gabriel continued talking while looking at the few people standing behind Alex. That meant less time to talk but work came first, then entertainment.

"Did you see what was on my wall? Of course I've been there but I'm surprised that you asked that. I didn't know you like museums. Did you go to any yesterday?" he asked curiously.

"No, that's why I'm asking if you wanted to come with me. I read that we can just buy online tickets so that we don't have to wait in line but... I'm sure that you already knew that. This was stupid, forget it," Alex mumbled quietly, looking a bit insecure which was a weird difference from his normal self.

"I would love to go there with you! There are many other museums here but Louvre is the best! It's kind of a big deal," he smiled widely. It wasn't himself who he was excited for but for Alex. Now was time to show him some real art!
