You embraced the air as the sound of wind rushed through your ears. You hadn't realized how high up the building was, but as you fell it slowly became more distant. This was it, it was the end.
You didn't expect your life to end like this. Free-falling through the air with only the ground to break your fall. And it was all for him. You would die without ever getting to tell him how you felt. Your life truly did flash in front of your eyes. The only thing you could do was close your eyes and feel the sky beneath your empty hands. You had dropped the lightsabers, but it didn't matter now. Nothing did.
You prepared yourself for the fall. You hoped it wasn't too bad. Your final thoughts were a prayer to the maker asking for a painless impact. You squeezed your eyes tighter together and braced yourself for the blow.
But, the collision never came. Instead, you were in someone's arms. But, you could tell you were still in the air based on how difficult it was to breathe. You tried to open your eyes but the wind prevented you. There was only one person you knew with a jetpack, it had to be him.
"Mando?" You tried to speak though you doubted he'd be able to hear through the wind.
"Ah, so you are alive then princess," A modified voice spoke, but it wasn't his.
The wind slowly died down, and you felt the impact of the man landing. You slowly opened your eyes to see your savior. He wore similar armor to Mando's but his was green and dull. You felt disappointed, but gratitude diminished any other type of feeling.
He kept you in his arms, not sure if you were stable enough to stand up. "Can I set you down?" He spoke with an accent. You gave a slight nod before he gently placed you on your feet.
"I can't thank you enough," You said looking at his helmet.
You were trying to analyze him. He must have realized this because he reached to remove his helmet. You realized then that he wasn't a Mandalorian. He was older than you expected and completely bald. The darkness of the night made it hard to figure out any distinct features.
"Don't worry about it, sweetheart. It was my pleasure," He said looking you in the eyes.
"How did you know I needed saving?" You questioned.
"I was actually right over there," He pointed towards another building on top of a rock that was directly across from Ace's, "When I saw a light show happening, so I decided to check it out. I saw you and another man fighting. You seemed awfully close to the edge, so I kept an eye on you two. As soon as he pushed you I flew over."
"Wow," You said amazed to have had a guardian, "I really can't thank you enough Mr. ?"
"Fett. Boba Fett." He spoke extending his hand.
"Y/N," You said as you shook his hand firmly.
"What brings a Jedi to a planet like this?" He asked as he began to walk closer to the entrance of Ace's. You cautiously followed behind.
"I'm not a Jedi. I'm just here looking for my friend," You said as you noticed he was looking for something. He walked over a few feet and picked something up.
"Mando?" He asked and you raised your eyebrows. How did he know? "Ah, that's what I heard you say when I caught you."
"Yeah, he was taking care of some business and said to come find him if he hadn't returned in two days," You said as you nervously kicked the ground.
"I believe these are yours," He said as you looked down and saw the metal hilts of your sabers. You smiled and returned them to your waist.
"Kriff!" You mentally kicked yourself, "My droids still up there." You said pointing up to Ace's building.
