You were severely out of breath. You just stood still, taking deep inhales and loud exhales. Mando wasn't your top priority right now.
"Are you guys okay?" You bent down so Arlon could hop off your back. The carrier was there and you were thankful to find the creature still inside.
"I think? I-i saw you move that tree. How did you do it?" Arlon said curiously. He looked at you with wide eyes.
You smiled down at him, "It's called the force."
"My mommy told me stories about that. Kids always pretend to move things too." He kept his wide-eyed gaze on you.
Apparently, he didn't notice the creature earlier. His jaw dropped when he realized what exactly was in that floating carrier. He quickly made his way over to the floating metal.
"What is that thing?" Arlon questioned. You saw he was about to poke the child, so you quickly rushed over and swooped him out of the carrier before he got a chance. You set him on the floor.
"We just call him 'kid' or 'child', he's yet to reveal a name to us. He has the force too." You smiled down at the small creature who now sat down in the grass playing with a stick. Arlon sat right next to him. "I'll be right back." You hurried aboard Mando's ship and into your room, grabbing your staff. On your way out, you noticed a few blasters. You decided to take one and attach it to your belt.
Once you stepped off the ship you were relieved to find Arlon and the child still there. You let out a sigh. You would go searching for Mando tonight. Your stomach growled, but you knew you wouldn't be able to eat. You were sure your little friends were hungry though.
"Let's head into the ship." You said as you noticed it was already starting to get dark. It had been a few hours since you saw Mando, but you decided to give him a bit more time to make his way back. You picked up the child and Arlon followed you into the ship.
You found a few portions of food and offered some to Arlon. He thanked you and ate to his little heart's content. You were all sitting on the metal floor of the ship. With each passing moment, your stomach twisted into more knots. Would the monsters come looking for you next?
"Y/N, I'm tired." Arlon looked at you, he let out a yawn.
"Come on." You picked him up and he wrapped his legs around you. You brought him to your room and placed him on your cot. You took an extra blanket from the shelf and gave it to him. "Stay here until I come to get you in the morning, okay?" Arlon nodded and laid down.
"Ok, I will." Arlon whisper-yawned. With that, you shut off the lights and closed the door of the room.
The child still sat on the floor playing with a spare part. You picked him up and placed him in his crib. "I'm going to get your dad back, okay?" He let out a coo, so you hoped he got your message.
You put on your cloak, slung your staff over your back, and attached the blaster you took earlier around your waist. When you went to look at the child, he was asleep on the floor.
You walked off the ship and closed the hatch. You hoped the child didn't know how to open it. After making sure it was secured, you set out to find Mando. You went in the same direction as you had run from.
Every step you took was cautious. You made as little noise as possible. You did your best to connect to the force in hopes of sensing any type of life. When your legs began to hurt, you decided to climb up a tree, hoping to get a better view.
After many failed attempts, you found a tree you thought was climbable. You swung yourself up, you smiled a bit as you made it to the first branch. You continued going higher and higher. You made it to the top before you froze as you heard sounds of laughter.
