You tried to squirm out of his grasp. "Do you mind?" You said, hoping he would release his grip on your hands. You rubbed your wrists that still stung from how tightly he pinned you down.

He thankfully obliged. He got off of you and stood up. You just laid in the grass for a moment, looking up at the stars. You could feel him looking down at you. He reached out his hand, offering to help you up. You placed your hand in his and he helped pull you up.

"Another round?" He questioned.

"Oh? So you want to lose again?" You said as you raised your eyebrows.

"You let your guard down. If you had been paying more attention, you would have won." His modified voice seemed annoyed, and you felt happy to be bringing him some type of emotion.

"Would have? Don't be silly, I did win Mando." You said sweetly but your tone was laced with another emotion you didn't recognize.

"Let's head back." He said. You gave him a small nod. You walked side by side through the field and towards the village.

"I forgot to check up on your stitches. They should almost be ready to be taken out." You said quickly, trying not to aggravate him as you walked. You knew that he could completely turn the switch of calm and collective off faster than it came.

"Mhmm. We'll deal with it later." He looked down at you, but you didn't meet his gaze.

The rest of the walk was awkward, to say the least. Occasionally Mando looked at you, but your gaze never faltered from up ahead. Though you walked at the same pace, you remained a couple of feet apart. He walked you back to your hut and stopped in front of it.

"Goodnight, Mando. See you tomorrow." You looked up at him with a smile.

"Goodnight Y/N." You loved it when he used your name in a sentence. Something about it made you feel giddy. The blush on your face returned, he stared long enough to capture the moment before he turned and walked away

You woke up well-rested. The events of the night before proved to have worn you out. You hoped things wouldn't be awkward between the two of you. The tension you two had was thick, and you would have to do your best to remain collective. You didn't know how you were supposed to face him every day, you did live on his kriffing ship.

You got out of your cot and changed for the day. You put on a simple outfit the villagers gave you. It wasn't your taste, very plain and baggy. You had to tie up the tan shirt to prevent it from falling to your knees. You cuffed the bottoms of the matching tan pants so you wouldn't step on them. You grabbed the two sides, twisted them, and tucked them in the front, creating a cropped look. You tied up your hair in a high pony and went to the main living area for breakfast.

"Good morning y/n." Lille chimed to you. She was older, and her face was creased from continuous smiling throughout her years. Her home was modest, as was she.

"Good morning." You gave a small smile to the lady who had taken you in. You took a seat at the small table. There were some berries and oats laid out. "This looks amazing, thank you." You took a handful of berries and filled your bowl with oats. You bit into the warm substance and felt as though your insides were thawing. You heard small but demanding footsteps and turned your head towards the entrance.

"Y/N!!! You're finally up. Miss Lille wouldn't let me eat till you were." Arlon said slightly out of breath. You could tell he had been playing for quite some time.
