After everyone finished eating, you sat around and talked to Arlon for a bit. You exchanged small, non-intimate details with each other, and shared a few laughs. It grew quiet for a moment.

"We're taking you back to your village." Mando broke the silence and looked to Arlon. You weren't surprised by his bluntness.

"Mando, you know it's not safe for him. You saw first-hand what those monsters do." You pleaded with him.

"That's why we're going. We'll offer our assistance." He now faced you. You longed to see the man behind the mask.

"I don't think that's the best idea. You couldn't handle them the first time, what's different now?" You questioned. Why was he so set on heading straight into danger?

"We'll be heading out now." Mando picked up the child and stood up. He looked back to you and Arlon, expecting you to follow him.

"We're not coming." You stood up. You reached for Arlon's tiny hands to helped him up. When his hand was clutched around yours, you lifted him.

"Well, you aren't staying," Mando stated plainly as he walked to get gear ready.

"Bastard." You muttered. You stood there for a second before looking down at Arlon who looked at you with his wide-eyes. "Do you know your way home?" You asked. You heard Mando return, and saw him walk off the ship without bothering to look in your direction.

"Yes, but miss Y/N, please don't make me go." He begged and his eyes glistened.

"Arlon, nothing is going to happen to you. I won't leave you until you're comfortable and safe. You're in good hands with Mando and me." You knelt a bit to be eye-level with him. "I know how hard it is to lose your family, you're very strong." He just looked at you.

You felt bad for the kid, but you could only do so much. You heard Mando turn around, and you stood up.

"Here, keep it. You know how to use it." He tossed you the blaster you had taken last night. You smiled down at the weapon, pleased with yourself.

"Thanks. This doesn't make up for anything." You gave him a quick glare before fastening it to your belt. You looked to the child who was in his container fidgeting with something.

"Ready?" Mando asked you.

"I guess. You ready Arlon?" You looked down at him. He gave you a small nod. You offered him your hand, which he gladly accepted.

You followed Mando off the ship. He asked Arlon for some directions and he set off. His pace had slowed down a bit, and you were thankful. You walked well over an hour.

"Hey Mando, you need to be careful with your stitches." You almost forgot to do a check-up, the only thing on your mind was your awkward encounter earlier that morning.

"Mhmm." A simple response, but you were thankful for something. "We're almost here." The village came into view.

You looked down at Arlon, who kept his head down. "You'll be okay, you have us now." You squeezed his hand, hoping to offer him some comfort.

When you came closer to the village, the laughter of children rang through your ears. You were never too fond of children, but they seemed to brighten up the dull village. Huts were lined up, and there were a few green crop fields. Tallgrass seemed to encircle the village. You looked down at Arlon again, this time he was looking at you. As you got closer, you saw that a few areas of crops and grass patches were destroyed. You noticed the laughing fade away and children running inside their huts as you drew near.

"Can I help you?" A woman approached your group. She was muscular, and her dark hair was parted extremely to the side. You were intimidated.

"Our little friend here lost his family to the raiders. We're here to bring him back and save the village." You looked the lady in the eyes, she returned your glance.
