After the night's festivities, Mando walked you to your hut. His fingers were still interlaced with yours. The shadow of your smile remained. You exchanged simple goodbyes and he squeezed your hand before letting go. You walked into the hut and your smile grew bigger.

"Thank the maker you're all right! I saw you dancing and felt relieved to see you in one piece." She gave you a warm smile.

"We were lucky. It could have been much worse." Your smile started to fade as exhaustion struck you. You yawned.

"I don't mean to pry, but you and the Mandalorian huh?" She was eager for details, something about young people's drama was appealing to her.

"Oh, no. We uh- it's complicated I guess." You let out a nervous laugh. "Good night Lille." You said before you walked to your living space.
You changed into stretchy black pants, and a loose gray top and as soon as you laid on your cot, you fell asleep with ease.

-

You woke up to someone whispering your name. "What the krif?" Your groggy voice broke out as you rubbed your eyes trying to see.

"Y/N, we have to go. Something's not right, the child they're after him." Mando's voice was panicky, it was the first time you sensed any type of fear in him. You quickly got out of bed.

"I have to pack giv-" You let out a yawn trying to find your stuff in the dark. You squinted your eyes and you could barely make out the figure of Mando.

"I already put your stuff in the bag. Here are your cloak and blaster." His tone was rushed as he handed you it. You slipped it on and sighed as it enveloped you in its warmth. You attached the blaster to your pants. You mumbled thanks.

"Where's my bag?" You started to squint around. You noticed your pair of boots at the edge of your cot and quickly laced them up. You used the force to move your staff that leaned up against the side of the hut to your hands. You swung it over your back.

"I have it. Let's go." He replied quickly. You squinted in the dark and saw your bag swung over his shoulder. You also noticed the child's carrier floating in the main area. You rubbed your eyes and looked up at him.

"Krif Mando, we can't just leave like this." Your voice stayed a whisper.

"Y/N? What's happening? A-are you leaving me?" Arlon spoke softly. He must have woken up from Mando's loud steps. You could barely make out his facial expression. You walked towards Arlon and bent down.

"It's not safe here for us anymore, bub. We have to go now," You said as you pulled him into a tight squeeze. "You're going to be fine. You have Lille, she's going to take good care of you, okay?" You whispered in his ear.

You heard him sniffling, an indication to you that he was crying. "I'm going to miss you. Promise you'll come back for me." He said sadly. He pulled from your grasp and stuck out his pinky.

"Promise." You said as you interlaced your pinky with his. You gave him a pinky squeeze before standing up and giving him a rub on the head. Your fingers gently ran through his soft blonde hair. "See you later Arlon." You said after you walked him back to his cot, and he laid back down.

You joined Mando in the main area of the hut. He saw you and quickly walked outside, you followed closely behind. The night was quiet. Not even the sound of a bug was heard.

"Something's wrong, nature's gone quiet." You said following Mando as he walked out of the village and towards the forest.

"I know, stay close." Mando kept his voice low, he picked up on his walking pace.

You knew it was a long trip back to his ship, but the adrenaline acted as a boost and kept your feet moving. When you reached the village's barrier you saw the corpses of the dead monsters. The smell overwhelmed your nostrils. You used your cloak as a mask to try and block out the smell.
