AHAANA
*Beep*
And continuous beeps followed the rest.
I slowly opened my eyes, bit by bit the particles pushed each other when I yawned and moved in my place. Sun rays were clear and sparkly. I turned to the other side of the bed and my eyes searched for Arushi.
"Woah Arushi, relax! We haven't started with the course yet!" I mocked while taking a glance at the alarm clock. 6:30 am.
Arushi was sitting on her desk with her laptop flashing more than efficient light directly into her eyes. And, what should I say about her fingers, they were surely preparing for some kind of an Olympics.
Arushi left my presence unnoticed. Her eyes were buried into the screen. I threw a pillow targeting her face and yeah, bull's eye.
"What the hell!" she groaned.
"Same here" I made a face.
"Okay, sorry. But you should've understood that I was busy."
"B-U-S-Y" I repeated in an accent.
She took her laptop and walked towards my bed. 'An-Exit' was highlighted on her laptop's screen. Ugh, that stupid name again! Ruining my day before it even started.
She made some space on the bed for herself and pointed her finger towards an icon indicating, 'Letter'. Alas, one more down. Hell, this Application is eating everyone!
"Arushi, I'm not interested!" I hid my eyes with the help of my hands and walked towards the bathroom. My clothes were already arranged and my towel was nicely protecting my clothes which were placed on top of my suitcase. Hanging around with Arushi in these past years has made me achieve some weirdly great habits, so yeah!
"I'll take 20 minutes" I shut the door as I heard my voice fade away. When I was about to come out of the washroom, I felt a strong force on the door which pushed me aside. "Sorry, but it's an emergency." Moorna ran straight into the washroom and I saw the door shut on my face. The morning guys, This is what I was talking about.
I turned around to watch Arushi, but like before, she was still busy with her laptop. What's so exciting about the laptop, that she can't even find some time to talk to me? Today was our first day, and I was crazily nervous. I really wanted her to cheer me up, but maybe, today's my turn to do that.
"Arushi, is something wrong?" I asked.
"Hmm, nah!"
"What was that? At least you can reply by looking at me."
"Ahaana, nothing is wrong!" she said in a musical tone. "Okay, can you pass me your laptop?" she added.
"Firstly, you're already dug in yours, and secondly, I'm not gonna give you mine!" I made a cross with my fingers and sat across her.
"The site that I was surfing on got crashed, so I want to check if it's my laptop's issue or the site got crashed in general....."
"No, I'm not giving my laptop!" I shot my eyes.
"Ahaana, stop acting like a kid and give me your laptop."
"No-"
"Give"
"No-"
"AHAANA!"
"Are you guys ready to leave for college, or is this game more important? No, I mean, I can wait!" Moorna was literally staring at us, standing with her arms crossed.
"Umm-" I was thinking about what to say, and at that moment, Arushi took my laptop and left the room. Moorna joined her and I was standing there, clueless, not able to understand what just happened. Wait, when did she brush her teeth?
