AHAANA
"Ahaana can you pass me the bowl?" Arushi asked me while I was sitting over the mat on the floor. It was 12am and we ended with our 'welcome party' a few minutes ago. I don't know from where Moorna arranged a few cans of alcohol, and now she is completely drunk and out of her senses. Arushi's 'I-love-to-try-new-things' quirk gave an excellent company to Moorna, and..... Honestly speaking, I was pretty shocked by her alcohol holding capacity! She looks completely sober even after three rounds.
"Ahaana, why is this bowl talking to me? It said that I look fat!" I guess I said she looks sober too soon.
"Arushi, it also said that you should keep it back on the table!"
"But what about, 'You look FAT!' How dare it???" She stretched her arm, in full intention of slamming it on the floor! My eyes widened and I was out of words to stop her.
"ARUSHI, GLASS!" The only word which left my mouth was, 'Glass'! Was it because of my unconscious reflexes?
She froze in an instant and brought the bowl back to her sight. "I'm such a bad friend, how can I forget that my friend does not like broken glass pieces!" She puffed her cheeks and hugged the bowl.
"I am also a bad friend!" Moorna joined. Her face was buried in her pillow, and her body looked like it had given up years ago. In simple words, she was almost lying dead on her stomach.
"NoooOoo! I'm a bad friend!!" Arushi literally started crying. What the hell is happening here? Their fight over who was the bad friend continued till Moorna dozed off. After that, Arushi decided to focus her mind on something more important, ask what? 'Blankly staring at the ceiling and smiling to herself.' Creepy!
"Arushi see, Moorna is sleeping, so why don't we do the same? You are a good girl, right!" I walked towards her and held her hand.
"Ahaana, do you think that I'm a good girl?" She grinned while looking at me with doe eyes.
"Yesss, the best girl in the world!"
"BEST?"
"You heard it right!" Drunk Arushi is weirder than sober Arushi!
She followed my steps and sat at the edge of her bed. I stood there in front of her with my hands resting on my waist, while she continued to smile creepily.
"Do you know that you look like a creep right now?"
"What?"
"Nothing." I looked away.
"No, you said something!" She pressed her toes on the floor and bent forward.
"I said, Arushiiii.."
"Yesssss!"
"Sleepppppppp!"
"Noooooooo!" She fell on her bed backwards. I'm not even exaggerating, she literally slept within seconds the moment her body touched the mattress.
"Good night!" I smiled to myself and covered Arushi with a blanket.
After that, I turned off the lamp and lay on my bed. I rolled on my left side and closed my eyes. My mind started wondering about Mistansh. What might he be doing right now? The meeting? I hope its purpose was solved. But, what if he's still troubled and wide awake?
I picked up my phone from the side table and searched for 'Anxiety Exit'. NO SEARCH FOUND. Huh? I refreshed the page and the same thing appeared on the screen. I disconnected the wifi and connected it the sixth time. I clicked on An-EXIT's site and the loading sign appeared. I waited for a minute, checked my phone again to see if it was refreshed. After a few minutes I put down my phone but still it kept on loading. The page is not found. It was clear that there was nothing wrong with the internet as other site engines were smoothly working. Not giving up hope, I clicked on refresh again. PAGE NOT FOUND. Did they turn the site down? Maybe it could be the reason. In such circumstances, it is common to take this step.
