MITANSH
"Mitansh, can you stop shaking your legs!" Agastya kept his palm over my knee to bring me back to the world.
Zaid, Agastya and I had been busy preparing the launch date presentation for more than five hours now. Two days, only two days were left for our dream to come true, but honestly, I was not at all nervous about the launch date right now, or, at least it wasn't the current topic of my concern. 'Proposal, proposal, proposal. Confession, Confession, confession!' These were the only words which danced in front of my eyes the entire time.
This is going to be my last year in college and after a few months, I won't have an easy excuse to meet Ahaana often. Ugh... Why does it feel so difficult? When I proposed to Inayat, wait... actually I never proposed to her. It was like a question. A plain straightforward statement. 'Do you want to be in a relationship with me?' No emotions, no space for extra words except, YES or NO.
Yes, or no. Mitansh, seriously? You were so immature.
"Goddd, I'm finally done with stats!" Agastya stretched his arms, and sighed for a few seconds longer, just to make us know that 'he worked'!
"Why am I writing about the features and the core benefits of An-EXIT?" Zaid glanced at me and then back to his laptop's screen.
"Because you're great with manipulating words." Zaid gave Agastya a sore eye and continued typing.
"This was Inayat's work." I gulped in. "Her English is amazing, so she took it upon herself. But sticking with the present situation, if you're not able to do it, it's okay, I'll complete the rest."
"So, you're saying that my English is not great?" Zaid gave me a serious look, challenging my previous statement.
"No, I didn't mean-"
"I'm doing it. You concentrate on the speech." My forehead relaxed and I gave him a nod. Zaid is always like this, a man of few words. Even if he meant it as a joke, somewhere or the other, it gave me relief.
"You can take guidance from Shilpi ma'am for your speech!" Agastya closed the flip of his laptop and sat on the bed, which was his backrest a few seconds ago.
"Yeah, I've already contacted her." I turned my face to look at him.
"Ohh, leader got moves!"
"Moves?" I looked at him with a questioning look.
"Not again those weird expressions!" Agastya fell back on the mattress and sighed.
"So guys, what are we left with now?" I looked at Zaid and then at Agastya.
"My work will be done by 5 this evening. Except that, I think everything is covered!" Zaid glanced at the sheet of paper kept beside his laptop.
"No, there is still one thing left! And it is the most important one." Agastya sat up straight.
"Really? An-EXIT's logo designing, stats, speech, software design, features... almost everything is done. What are you talking about?" The most important one, huh?
"Our suits guys! Our goddam outfit!" At this moment, Zaid was ready to take him down a notch.
"Hey Zaid, even if you don't think it's important, for me, the first impression means a lot!" Agastya spoke in his defense.
"Yeah, you're right!" Got it! The excuse to talk to Ahaana! She must be worried about her outfit for the award show. We can go shopping together. Regarding this, we can meet, and then, yes!!! I'll confess to her. All set! Yes, this is perfect!
