Good news? [Part 10]

We slept like that until dawn came a few hours later.

I opened my eyes and saw Gally's face right in front of me. His mouth is slightly open, and his hands are still hugging me. Or I can say clutching because his grip is so strong I can't get out until he's awake.

"Gally..." I whispered to his ear.
Just like that, he finally opened his eyes and smiled.

Sensitive senses much? I thought.

"It's not late yet right? I want to stay in here for awhile..." He yawned.

"No, it's not, but could you let me go because I want to change. It's cold you know" I squirmed from his arms but he held me even closer.

"If you're cold, you could just say it to me and I'll be your personal jacket when you're cold" I frowned and he finally let go.

"Fine, suit yourself" He pouted.

I said 'thank you' and took the black shirt, khaki shorts and my undies to wear. I felt a stare at my back.

"Will you mind?" I said, obviously annoyed.

He smirked and said, "Don't mind at all. Besides, cute bum, sailor"

I grabbed a pillow and threw it to him. He laughed and I walked to the bathroom to change. Feeling fresh after changing and splash in water to my face, I got out and see Gally has changed too. I quickly pecked his lips and throw in my dirty clothes at the basket to wash later.

Gally suddenly hugged me from behind and buried his head on my hair.

"Smells awful" he said.

"Thank you very much for the compliment, captain. Now let me go so we can go to work" He hesitated by kissing me for a bit, but finally let go a minute after.

We exited Homestead together hand-in-hand and he kissed me again one more time then jogged to the Builders.

I have a grin plastered in my face as I jog to the Slicer, causing Gladers to smile back or give me a weird look.

When I saw another girl walked by, I stopped walking so abruptly that I almost hit the back of another Glader who was watching her too.

Many people were circling her, wanting to know her. She just walks up to me as if relieved.

"Hi, my name's Teresa" taking out her hand, I reached it and shook it.

"Name's Y/N. Welcome to the Glade" I smile.

"Thank god. I thought there weren't any girls here. I wake up and see all of 'em boys!" I laughed and saw Newt, Alby (surprisingly) and Thomas behind her.

"You already got the tour from Alby?" I asked Teresa.

She shook her head no and saw Thomas.

"I was actually told that I called his name a few times in my sleep. I already met him back at the infirmary. That's kinda weird isn't it?" I thought about it for awhile and it is kind of weird.

"Well I'm going to go now. See ya" She waved and I waved back.

Thomas greeted her and told her to wait. He jogged up to me, "Hey"

I paused, a bit confused. "Um hey. What's up?"

His expression changed to brighten up. "Well, they made me a Runner. Although I have to spend a night in the Pit, but it's kinda worth it. We got a few clues when we ran yesterday, and I think we're gonna be out of here in no time" He grins.

I nod at the certain information and it felt like very good news.

"Good that! Thanks for telling me, Thomas. I have to go to the Slicer now, or I'll be caught by Alby! See you" I smiled and saw a little disappointment in his eyes, but he eventually waved back.

Wait, was that really what I think it is?

I got to the Slicer and felt the headache again.

God, what is wrong with my head? I thought.

I just ignore it and went back to work, visiting the Med-Jacks later on. It got a bit stronger when I was washing my hands and Winston saw me wince whilst pinching my forehead.

"Hey, are you okay? Is it coming back again?" His face looked a bit worried.

I shook my head and gave a weak smile. "No, I mean yes, it's coming back again, but I'm okay. I think. I will go to the Med-Jacks after this, I promise"

He eyed me curiously, but then shook my hair until it's messy. I frowned but he only laughed and went back to his area of work.

After work at noon, I visited the Med-Jacks and told them the same thing happened before. They did a further check up on me and it took a bit longer than usual, but they don't have a clue what's going on with me.

"Maybe you're just stressed. Are you feeling under pressure or something these past few days?" Clint asked with a doctor's tone some kind of thing.

Beside the Gally problem which is now fixed, and the Maze isn't really a problem again because the Runners finally found some clues, I don't think so... I thought.

"No, I don't think so?" I asked a bit confused.

"Well you rest now okay? Do you want me to tell someone or get you something?" Jeff said while giving me an aspirin.

"No, I don't want anybody to worry" I smiled as I took the aspirin and water.
He just nods and went outside to follow Clint. When I decided to close my eyes, I heard someone come in, and when I opened them, it was Minho, with Thomas and Newt heaving him.

Ah, another splintered leg kind of a day huh Min? I chuckled inside.

Thomas saw me and I saw his eyes lit up a bit. He smiled to me and I responded awkwardly. He said something to Newt and Minho, and they just nodded and smirked to my direction. Thomas walked to me with a bit of a shy smile.

"Hey... Isn't it a coincidence I'm seeing you here?" He rubbed the back of his neck as he greeted me.

"Yeah, coincidence..." I eyed him.
Silence passed us, and he finally sat in front of me in another bed beside.

"Look, I- I want to tell you something" He said suddenly.

I feel a bad feeling creeping in and I realized I was sweating.

What the heck?

Seeing no response from me, Thomas continued.

"I want you to know that this is what I feel. I know I don't have a chance to stand between you and Gally, but I have to tell you either way" He paused.

"I like you; since I've met you"

He's blushing crazily right now, red as a tomato.

This, is what I'm afraid what he was going to say.

What am I going to say?
