Minho switched on the light at what appears to be the weapon room, which only Keepers has access to.

Weapons scattered across the table and floor, blades and sticks and other nasty-looking devices. It's quiet dark and there are shadows everywhere, making the place creepy, not to mention the dank, musty smell.

"There's a hidden storage closet back there" Minho explained, walking past some shelves into a dark corner. "Only a couple of us know about it"

He opened an old wooden door, and dragged a cardboard box across the floor. He opened it while seeing the marked pages of the maps and said, "Here's Section Two. Others are inside and they're all here. Care to explain your theory now?"

Thomas let out a breath and explained, "Okay, so Runners have always compared these day to day, looking to see if there was a pattern that would somehow help figure us a way to an exit. Well what if all the wall movements had nothing to do with a map or a maze or anything? What if instead, the pattern spelled words? Some kind of clue that'll help us escape"

Minho let out a frustated sigh, "Do you have any idea how long we've studied these things? Don't you think we woud've noticed that it were spelling out freaking words?"

"I know, I know, but maybe it's hard to see with the naked eye; and instead comparing it one day to the next, you should've compared one day at a time" Thomas continued.

Newt laughed, "Tommy, do you even hear yourself?"

I could see the frustation in Thomas' face as he patiently continued, "Okay, you guys always have compared them day to day, and for that section only. What if, instead, you were supposed to compare the eight sections to each other, every day? Each day being a separate clue or code? Did you ever compare sections to other sections?"

Minho rubbed his chin, nodding. "Yeah, of course we did that. We've tried everything"

Thomas paused, studying the maps on his lap. He scrunched up his eyebrow in focus, and suddenly his face lit up. "Wax paper"

"Huh? What do-" Minho asked.

"Just trust me. We need wax paper and scissors. And every black marker and pencil you can find"

***

Of course, we needed wax paper from Frypan and he complained (as usual) that he needed them for baking, especially with their supplies being cut off by the Creators since the Doors didn't close and the Box stopped sending them their monthly supplies. They finally told him the truth to convince him to give it up.

After the supplies had gathered, Thomas showed and ordered us to cut the wax papers to about the size of the Maps, then trace the original Maps to wax paper.

Box by box, section by section, they continued on.

"I've had enough, my fingers are bloody burning like a mother. See if it's working" Newt announced. To be honest, mine were too, but I think I know where Thomas is getting on to.

"Okay" Thomas put his marker down. "Give me the last few days of each section. Make piles along the table, in order from Section One to Section Eight"

We did as he asked, and he began to pick up one page from each pile. He then laid them one on top of the other, and shuck it, he was right. It was subtle, but it was without a doubt, there.

Sitting in the exact center of the page was the letter F.

Note :
Alright people probably you guys who only watch the movies might be weirded out because this ain't from da movies aight. And you guys who read the books might say this is very much copying out of the book but leaving a few details behind, and yes, yes I did.

I did it on purpose because I want to introduce the people who only watch the movies the original plot of the book, and I don't want to delete the originality of James Dashner's writing. But I swear on previous chapters, they're basically mine. I'm only following his book so y'all won't be confused and still stay on the original plot.

Thank you guys I love you! Don't forget to comment and vote 💙
