When I woke up the next morning, I first thought that it was all a dream.
I got up and put on my uniform before going down to the common room.
I was usually the one to wait for Fleur but today she was already waiting for me.
"Where were you yesterday?" Fleur asked me and I thought if it maybe wasn't a dream
"I was just tired so I went to bed" I told her.
She nodded understanding and we made our way to breakfast.
As usual the tables were all mixed and no one was sitting at their actual table. Fleur started to talk to a Hogwarts student I didn't know and told me that she would be sitting with him and if that would be fine.
I nodded and started to look for Katie
"Oi, Irish, French girl!" someone said next to me and I saw that it was Fred "Wanna look for the troll in the Hall?" he chuckled
"No! I was just only looking for Katie!"
"Yeah you won't find her. Georgie told me that he had to talk to Katie this morning! But you can sit with me" he offered the seat next to him that was still free.
Since I didn't see anyone else that I knew in the Great Hall I sat down next to him and started to grab some toast.
"So what did Angi say yesterday?" he asked me after awhile which nearly made me choke on my pumpkin juice
"Do you know that you can be a git sometimes?"
"Don't answer with another question!" Fred laughed "And why am I git now?"
"Think about it!" I looked at him and said "First you act completely normal, then you start telling me about the girl from the World Cup and how much you like her, then you just suddenly stop talking to me and then you decide to kiss me while everyone taught that you and Angelina are a thing!" I told him. I decided not to tell him about the fact that I knew the true identity girl he was talking about because that would just make it awkward.
"Oh sorry, is a person not allowed to have a crush on a girl?" he tried to defend himself
"Do you have a crush on me or what?"
"I...ehm....no?!" he laughed nervously
"You know what? You don't seem convincing!" I laughed
"Well I might fancy you alright?!"
"You actually do?"
"No of course not!" he laughed but stopped when I saw my face "well maybe a tiny little bit!" he laughed and blushed slightly.
I felt my cheeks getting hotter, nervous about the situation
"Hey guys!" Katie sat down across from me just a few seconds later followed by George "Sorry that we're late" she apologized while putting scrambled eggs on her plates.
"So Y/N what subjects do you have today?" Katie asked
"I only got Potions and Charms today and the I am off but I still have to catch up with some homework" I explained
"You know what about me joining you in the library before dinner?"
"Sure" I agreed to Katie's offer
Fred stayed oddly quiet during breakfast.
Classes weren't too bad to be honest but it could have been better. I was already working for an hour in the library when Katie finally made her way into the library.
"Why do I even have to take the O.W.L.s" she sighed putting down multiple books onto the desk rather harshly "And then Professor Snape thought it would be fun to give us an 15 inches essay till Friday!"
"Did you have Potions today too?" I asked her. I heard about the way Professor Snape teaches and how hard his lessons are
"Ugh yeah! We had Potions with Slytherin!" Katie sat down "He hates Gryffindor and favours Slytherin all the time but I am still gonna try getting it as an O.W.L. even though I am close to giving up!"
"I am sorry Katie"
"Nah it's fine!" she waved it away "Sometimes I feel like I complain too much but anyways enough about me! So what did Fred and you talk about this morning?" she raised an eyebrow
"He kinda confessed that he fancies me" I chuckle
"What?! OMG that is so amazing!" Katie giggled "You do like too do you?"
"Maybe" I chuckled
"I love it! George's gonna be so happy and proud of his brother"
"Since we are already talking about George how is everything going with you two?"
"It is amazing!" Katie blushed "It might sound cheesy but he is so caring and just perfect! I mean I always had a crush on him but I didn't know what a wonderful human being he actually is"
"That does sound a bit cheesy" I laughed "But it makes me so happy to hear that!"
"You know what we should do?"
"No!"
"We should go on a double date some time!" Katie suggested
"Relax Katie! Fred and I just kissed once! It doesn't mean that we are gonna end together!" I told her but secretly hoped for it
"Hogsmeade is coming up soon!" Katie pointed out
"So?"
"So! Fred might ask you out on a date!" she chuckled
"If you believe so? I mean he would probably just want to go to Zonko with his brother!"
"His brother already has a date" she chuckled
"Then let's hope for the best!" I chuckled
