"So are you excited for your first day?" Fred asked as he sat down at the table with some toast.

"I mean a bit but like I am not as nervous as I was on my first day at Beauxbatons" I told him as I took a sip of my tea

"Oi Fred you ready?" George came out of his room, already dressed in his magenta robes

"Nearly ready" Fred chuckled, even though he was still wearing his PJs

"I hope you're downstairs soon! We have a delivery today and have to restock a few shelves before we open" George listed the things they had to do today

"Yeah I'm just gonna finish my toast real quick and then I will get changed and meet you downstairs" Fred assured him

"I better hope so for you" George smiled "Oh and Y/N, good luck with your first day!"

"Thanks George" I smiled before he opened the door to the flat and made his way downstairs

"I better get going or George will rip my head off" Fred told me before he disappeared in his room just to return in his magenta robes a few minutes later "I'll see you tonight alright?" he gave me a kiss before heading for the door

"See you tonight!" I called after him before the door closed again.

I checked the clock on the wall and realised that I didn't have a lot of time myself. I quickly got changed into my robes before I headed for the door and down the stairs.

Everytime I entered the shop it was always a new surprise . You could really see that this was the work of the twins as soon as you stepped into the shop. I didn't have a lot of time to look around the shop so headed straight to the front door where I bumped into a blonde girl

"Sorry!" we said at the same time. I realised that she too was wearing magenta robes

"Are you Verity?" I asked her

"Yes that is me!" she smiled "and who are you? If I am allowed to ask"

"Oh of course I am Y/N Y/L/N" I introduced myself

"Ah you are Fred's girlfriend" she said friendly "you know he talks about you sometimes" she said a bit quieter as she came closer to me

"Really?" I laughed

"Yes" she giggled "Believe me! Anyways I should probably head inside now 'cause I don't want to be late! Where are you off to?"

"Oh ehm today is my first day at healing school" I told her

"Ohh that is so nice! Good luck! And we will probably see each other around" she smiled

"Thanks and see you around," I said before Verity walked through the door and I was standing on Diagon Alley.

I have never been in Diagon Alley before but Fred and George kept telling me that it was different a year ago. The best wandmaker, probably in Europe, Ollivianders, was not seen near his shop since one night in summer and a lot of other shops were closed too.

As I made my way through Diagon Alley I was able to see the different closed abandoned shops. I walked through the streets of London and it was quite strange to see that everything was normal in the "non-magical" part of the city.

I finally arrived at an old hair salon, at least that is what it looks like, and walked over to one particular mannequin.

"Name" it spoke

"Y/N Y/L/N" I answered

"Why are you here?" he asked again

"1st year of healing school" I answered as I was told to in another letter that arrived shortly before the start of semester

The door opened. It wasn't a hair salon from inside at all. It looked familiar to a Muggle University I saw in a movie once.

Thankfully the different directions for the different classrooms were all marked on the wall and so I didn't have any problems finding the potions classroom down in the dungeon, as it was the first class of my day.

A few people were already standing in front of the door but the professor arrived right after me and opened the door as everyone rushed in.

I took a seat in the left corner and a tall, brown haired boy sat down next to me.

"Good morning everyone" the professor said, "My name is Manfred Doyle and I will be teaching you the standards of healing potions this semester! Now we are not Hogwarts anymore or where ever you come from! This is more serious now and I expect every single one of you to take it seriously! The classes aren't just relaxing anymore! You chose this career path and now you have to realise the work you might need to put into it!"

"In our first lesson today we will go over some basics that you should be able to make as you made them back at school already! We will start with a simple Antidote to Common Poisons! If you shouldn't be able to make this potion, you might consider your career path! Your partner for this task will be the person sitting next to you! Now off you go" he instructed

"He was quite imitating don't you think?" the boy sitting next to me spoke up

"Yeah he was!" I smiled

"I am Maxwell by the way, Osbert Maxwell" he introduced himself

"I am Y/N Y/L/N! Nice to meet you!"

"Were you at Hogwarts? I think I saw you before but I don't remember" he said

"Not exactly! I attended Beauxbatons but I was at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament" I explained

"Wait, I do remember you! You are Fleur Delacour's friend right?" he looked at me "I know that it is weird being labeled that but it's true isn't it?"

"Yeah it is" I answered

We talked while making our potion before handing it in at the end of the lesson. We had the same schedule so we spent most of the remaining day together before I went back to the flat.

The twins were still downstairs organising a shelf when I entered the shop and after I quickly said hello I went upstairs and made myself some dinner since I was starving.
