A Million Little Secrets- Josh Richards

We continue to eat after our little laugh attack and just talk.

Josh: Why are you so afraid of getting hurt?

I really don't want to have this conversation yet so I lie.

Me: A lot of the girls I know would date someone and deepened there happiness on the other person, just for them to get hurt after they break up. I guess I just never wanted to experience that kind of hurt, you know?

*He nods his head and looks deep into my eyes*

Josh: You know I will never hurt you right?

*I softly smile and nod my head slowly. I don't know if he will stick around after he hears about my past. Most people leave me. He grabs my hands from over the table.*

Josh: I promise!

*I nod again and blurt out:*

Me: I don't want to take things slow anymore!

*He chuckles lightly*

Josh: You don't want to stay just friends for another month?

*I shake my head 'no'*

Me: Unless you don't want to, we can stay friends for another month if thats what you want! I ju-

*He cuts me off*

Josh: Sam?

*I look at him and he smiles*

Josh: Samantha Parker, will you go on a date with me tonight?

*I smile and nod*

Me: I would love to go on a date with you Joshua Richards!

*We both laugh*

Josh: I will pick you up at 5:15?

*I nod*

Me: Sounds perfect!

He looks at face, everywhere except my eyes.  He tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear and finally makes eye contact with me. He puts his hand on my cheek, running his thumb against my cheek bone. It gives me butterflies and I blush a little, still looking him in the eyes.

Me: Save some moves for the date!

*He laughs*

Josh: Come on, lets get you home!

*I nod and stand up. Josh stands up and once again throws his arm over my shoulder. We clean our trash and head to the car. I get in the passengers seat and quickly take the AUX chord before Josh could. He gets is the drivers seat and looks at you.*

Josh: Hey! You got it on the way here!

*I laugh*

Me: You snooze you lose, loser!

I make an L with my hand thats places on my forehead and stick my tongue out at him. He sticks his tongue out in a mocking way and we both laugh. I play some music and we jam out. I end up laughing a lot like before, cause apparently Josh doesn't know the lyrics of any song. Sadly, he pulls into my drive way but I will see him in a few hours. I look at Josh and smile.

Me: Thank you for today, showing me your special place and all! I love it! And i'll see you in a couple of hours!

*He chuckles and I kiss his cheek*

Josh: Dress casual!

*I nod and hop out of the car, probably the happiest I have ever been. I hug my mo whose in the kitchen and she gives me a look*

Mom: Why are you so happy?

*I laugh*

Me: I have a date tonight!

I look down and bite my lip to try and hold in my smile, I failed. I look back up at my mom, who has a happy yet shocked expression on her face. Like I have said many times, I have never been asked out on a date, I have never had a boyfriend and I have never even liked someone. So this was big. My mom smiles.

Mom: Is he a good guy?

*I smile even wider*

Me: He's great! I have only known his for a week, but I really like him!

*I sit on the counter and my mom smirks*

Me: What?

*She laughs and so do I*

Mom: Sam's in love!

*She wiggles her eyebrows and I yell:*

Me: MOM!

*We both laugh*

Me: I'm not in love with him, I just really like him!

*She smirks once again*

Mom: What ever you say honey!

*I laugh and shake my head. I hop off of the counter*

Me: I'm going to call Charli and he asked me out for tonight so I wont be home for dinner!

*She nods and I start to walk away*

Mom: Ok, wait!

*I turn around and she looks at me with her smirk*

Mom: Is this boy cute?

*I throw my head back in laughter and yell:*

Me: MOM!

*She laughs and shrugs her shoulders*

Mom: Mamas got to know everything! Now answer the question, is he cute?

*I laugh once more*

Me: Yes mom, he's very atractive!

*She nods and I laugh again*
