"I-I'm sorry. I should-I should go." Demi says nervously getting up and collecting her things.

"Yeah, ok. You're probably busy." I say. I'm not agreeing she should go, I'm agreeing that now is not the time. That we'll discuss it, but we need time to think.

"Umm, bye." She says patting my shoulder awkwardly. Well, that went south quickly.

I have spent the last two days just lying around. Jenny is the only one allowed to come into my apartment. Everyone else I'm still mad at, I'd be mad at her too, but she feeds me and didn't really do anything. But still, she could have supported me and Demi being..friends. Jenny had to go to work, but I was practically dead on my bed.

There was a dong sound interrupting my dream of being at the smoothie place down the street. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, but they keep getting my order wrong. I vowed not to get up until they get it right. Just as a mango smoothie came, the dong sound returned multiple times in a row. This time I blinked and groaned before grabbing Andrew and walking to my front door to answer it.

"Miss me, bat?" The voice asked

"Swing!!How are you, are your allergies better?" I asked, surprised by his presence.

Nate and I have a good relationship, we'd been friends as long as Jenny and I have, since we were in the same class. Nate calls be bat because of the term 'blind as a bat'. His is swing because he changes his mind on things constantly.

"Yeah, the pollen was so bad I wasn't able to breathe, I thought I'd be fine, but then I got stung by a bee."

"Oh, shit. Your lucky. You could have died." Obviously, Nate is extremely allergic to both things.

"I know. So, are you gonna let me in, or are you just gonna stand there until it's dark out?" He asks

"I wouldn't be able to know when it was night anyway." I complain while stepping aside for him and closing the door behind him.

"Oh, right." He chuckles. "I heard from Jenny that you have a new love interest?" He questions.

"I wouldn't call her that. We're close friends. But it doesn't matter anymore, I have to chose between her and my friends because she's letting me actually go out and Aiden and Dylan disapprove. To add to it, she kissed me and ran away." I ranted in a bummed voice.

"They're forbidding you from being with her? They shouldn't be this protective, that's just wrong." Nate sympathized."want me to talk to them?"

"I don't know, Nate. I don't want to pull you into this. Neither do I want Dylan to be madder than he already is that I'm picking a girl I met less than a month ago to him. "

"Nat, I got this. What do have for food?" He asks changing the subject.

"I don't really look." I say with a smirk." Jenny just tells me what's there and I pick one to eat."

Nate laughs loudly and pats me on the back. He has this thing where he touches your back and shoulders. He's weird like that.

Nate had made us peanut butter and jelly and we ate while listening to the lion king soundtrack. Neither of us were in a mood for TV. While I was eating I realized that I hadn't taken a shower since the morning Demi took me to the bridge.

After I finished, Nate took my plate and put it in the sink. He had to go to work because he had to make up the hours he lost. He worked at subway. They're the reason he hates tuna, he has to mix it by hand.

I walked him to the door and the warm sun hit me in the face, funny, I thought it was later.

"Alright, I'll be back to check up on you. Next time I see you you better be cleaned up. You look horrible, put a smile on your face. I'll fix it." He said patting my shoulder.

"Ok, thanks, Bob the builder."

He playfully snaked me in the side of the head and I heard his shit car engine roar to life and cough before he pulled away with squeaking wheels.

I don't just need my friends back, but Nate doesn't understand that. I need her back.
