"So, you and demi huh?" Jenny asks with a smile in her voice.

"No, not me and demi. It's me....and Demi." I explain.

We were meeting everyone for dinner, I invited Demi, but she said she'll come in her car since she has to work. No offense to her, but Jenny isn't the cleanest person, so I like Demi's car better. I mean, I love Jenny but not stepping on wrappers and coffee cups and having Demi with me is much better than my current situation.

"What does that even mean?" She questions " isn't it the same thing?"

"No, it's totally different. We're friends, not a couple. Sure we act like one, but it's just a label. And one that isn't official yet for that matter."

The car pulls into the parking lot of my favorite dinner joint. It always smells like chocolate and I memorized there whole menu. Memorizing their menu is good because when you hate asking for assistance and your blind, it's hard NOT to need help. I can't even play board games buy myself. I don't like playing board games because people can cheat.

Jenny guided me to a table with all of our friends sitting their. "We saved the seat next to you." She said, smiling so wide her stretched lips touched my ear.
I blushed and listened to Aiden and Dylan argue non formally about guys being better than girls and vise versa.

"May I join you guys?" Demi asks at the end of the table.

"Of course! Have a seat." Katia says welcomingly.

The chair next to me squeaks loudly against the hardwood flooring and I hear Demi sit and pull herself back in toward the table.

"How are you?" She says into my ear so can hear her over the dull roar of the restaurant.

"I'm good, you?"

"I'm not too bad."

"Good." I smile.

I feel the air closer to my face get warmer and I lean in, understanding. Our lips meet for and theirs cheering and whooping coming from some of the members at our table. We pull away  Demi puts her forehead against mine instead. I can feel her dimples from here, right next to mine.

"Not a thing my ass." Jenny grumbles.

"Shut up. Garver!" I sass.

After dinner, Demi walks me out the door, hand in hand behind everyone else.

"Alright Demi, time for Natalie to go."

"Dylan..." I warn

"What, I can't take my sis home?" He complains.

"I can take her home." Demi laughs

"Are you sure because-"

"Go!" I cut him off.

"Alright, alright."

His footsteps fade away on the gravel against the pavement, leaving me alone in front of the door to the place we just ate. Demi pulls me to her car and starts the engine once I'm inside.

"So, what you doing tomorrow?" I ask after a silence of me playing with Demi's hand that wasn't on the steering wheel.

"Um...work until around 6:30 and then I'm free the rest of the day and the next." She says distracted by the road.

"Then do you wanna, maybe, go to the movies?"

"What movie?"

"We'll figure that out when we get there."

She laughs quietly before answering."Yeah. Yeah I'd like that." She says with a smile on her voice.

I hear her pull into my driveway and the car stops.

"I'll see you tomorrow then?" I ask

"Definitely." Demi walks me to the door before kissing me goodnight. I could get used to that.
