Demi's POV

"Bella, I know you don't technically work here, but do you mind helping?" Gail asks walking out to the front of the diner and she nods standing up. It's now Monday and I didn't send Bella to school. I did call the school though and told them I'm not sending her back until that Ethan kid is expelled. We are really busy at the diner though so we could use Bella's help. She's watched me work a million times though so she knows the drill.

"Mom, can we get a dog?" Bella asks as I wipe down the counter and I look up at her quickly.

"No." I say firmly.

"Why not?" She asks and I sigh. We've had this conversation so many times I swear.

"You know exactly why Bella. The landlord doesn't allow animals, we don't have the time, and they're expensive." I say and I hear her huff.

"What if you and Jesse move in together at his place? Is he allowed to have dogs?" She asks and I turn to look at her like she's crazy.

"Hold up right there. You hate me and Jesse together and now all the sudden you want us to move in together so you can have a dog?" I ask her and she bites her lip.

"I never said I hated him. He's kind of alright I guess." She says shrugging.

"Well I'm happy you're warming up to him, but we aren't moving in together anytime soon so get the dog thing out of your head." I say and she huffs again. Just then, the bell goes off at the door so I give her one final look before seating the customers then taking their orders. The day went by pretty fast because of how busy it was and as soon as I was off of work, I had to rush home and change because I had an interview at the hospital at three pm. I changed into a white button up blouse and some black dress pants and black heels. I was really nervous for this interview and I hope I do okay cause I really need the job.

"Alright Bella, I'm heading to my interview. Please just stay in here and don't go outside or anything." I say as I walk downstairs and she nods. I then make sure I have everything before heading out. When I get to the hospital, I head inside and go straight to where I needed to be. When I got called back into the office I shook the guys hand before sitting down.

"So, I read your application and after this interview you seem to be more than fit for the job. You're qualified and honest, and that's what we need." He says after the interview had wrapped up. It actually was not as bad as I was anticipating.

"Thank you." I say and he nods.

"And my best doctor here put in a really good word for you. I'm not stupid and I know why, but I have no problem with you two working in the same building." He then says and I smile big.

"Does that mean I'm hired?" I ask and he chuckles and nods. I smile even bigger and try to hold in my excitement.

"Thank you so much Bryan. I will not disappoint." I say standing up again to shake his hand.

"I don't think you will." He says and I smile. I then walk out of the office and I walk down the hall. I then practically run straight into Jesse and I wrap my arms around him quickly.

"I know you're working, but I just got hired." I say as we pull away and he smiles big and wraps his arms back around me.

"I'm so proud of you baby. I knew you'd get it." He says once we pull away again and I smile.

"Thanks to you." I say and he chuckles before bending down to peck my lips.

"I actually just finished my shift, so how about I meat you back at your place? I can cook dinner for you and Bella?" He suggests and I smile and nod.
