Demi's POV
"So what are you and Jesse doing for Valentine's Day?" Sirah asks me as we both clean up the counters before we leave for the day.
"I don't know. He's working so probably nothing." I reply. It's been about a month since we met each other families and things are still going really good between us.
"Nothing? Come on, your daughter is going out with her boyfriend so you better do something with yours." She says and I laugh.
"That's kind of hard to do when you're dating a doctor. He's constantly busy Si and even when he does have off days he's always on call. It just comes with the territory." I say shrugging and she rolls her eyes.
"If he really loved you then he would make the time." She says before walking away and I roll my eyes. Jesse is actually picking me up from work today then he's going to a car dealership with me so I can try and find a car. I was tired of having other people drive me around so hopefully I can find one that fits in my budget. Ever since I started working at the hospital, I've been making a lot more and I even have a couple hundred dollars left over after I pay all my bills at the end of the month. Normally I was barely getting by with Anthony sending money. Just then, Jesse walks in and I smile big as I put down the rag and untie my apron.
"Let me just go clock out." I say and he nods so I walk back into the kitchen then down to the lockers and I place my apron in there and grab my stuff before clocking out then walking back to the front. We then walk out of the diner and get in his car as he drives off.
"Do we need to get Bella from school?" He asks me as he places a hand on my thigh and I shake my head.
"No, Jack is driving her home." I answer and he glances at me surprised.
"Is he going in to your house with her?" He asks me and I shake my head.
"No, he's just dropping her off." I say and he raises his brows like he doesn't believe me.
"You think that's a good idea? They're teens and even if I know Bella is responsible they're still kids in a relationship." He says and I sigh biting me lip. He's right.
"I trust her." I say back and he nods. We soon pull up to a dealer and we get out and start looking around the lot at the cars.
"So you have an idea of what you want?" He asks holding my hand in his and I shrug.
"Not really. I don't care that much either. I just need something to get me back and forth places. I'm tired of relying on other people to drive me around." I say and he nods.
"Well lucky for you, I know a guy that works here that can probably get you a good discount." He says and I roll my eyes with a small smile. I swear he knows everybody.
"Mmm. I knew you were good for something." I tease and he laughs out loud.
"Wow." He says and I smile up at him. A few long hours later and I had finally found a car that I liked and fit in my budget. I signed all the paperwork and then I was finally on my way home with Jesse following behind. When I pulled up to my house, I saw Jacks Jeep in the driveway and I feel myself get a little angry. It's been four hours since school was let out. He should not still be here. I park the car next to his while Jesse parks on the street and when I get out I almost ran up to the door, but Jesse jogged up to me and stopped me.
"Hey, calm down baby." He says rubbing my shoulders but I shrug him off.
"No. I am angry. I thought I could trust her and apparently I can't. What if they're in there having sex?" I ask pissed off and he sighs.
