"I love it." I whisper as I look at every little detail in our baby girl's finished room. It took us awhile, but it's finally done.
"It is pretty awesome isn't it?" Jesse asks wrapping his arms around me from behind and I smile as I lean back into him as he spreads his hands over my stomach. I am now seven months pregnant and baby girl started kicking a couple weeks ago. She actually kicked for the first time when I was sleeping, but Jesse was awake and he felt it since I was pressed against him. He woke me up and we both were so excited. Ever since then, his hands barely leave my stomach.
"It's perfect. I can't wait until she's here." I reply quietly. I actually stepped down from my job at the diner since working two jobs was a lot on me. So, I only work at the hospital part time now. I would work full time, but they were already filled on receptionist and I was getting the same amount of pay as the diner and I would rather work less and get more money. I don't work nights anymore either, only day shifts which is a lot easier on me.
"Neither can I. I talked to Bryan last night and with my hospital benefits, I get a whole month off after the baby gets here. You will get your full time maternity leave though." He says and I nod.
"Think we can handle being together twenty four seven?" I ask smirking slightly and he chuckles softly before leading us over to the rocking chair. He sits down first and pulls me down on his lap. I then hear the front door open followed by Zoe excitedly barking so I know Bella is home from going out with Jack.
"Mom?" I hear Bella shout from downstairs just as the door closed.
"In the baby's room!" I shout back as I slide off Jesse's lap and move to sit on the foot rest in front of him. She soon makes her way in and she gasps as she examines the room.
"Oh my god! It looks so cute! I love it!" She says walking over to the crib and I smile.
"Isn't it?" I reply and she nods. "How was your little date?" I ask her raising my brows up and down and she rolls her eyes.
"Good. He's going to Disneyland with his family this weekend. They have season passes I guess and they stay in the hotel there. He invited me to go with him cause his older brother won't be able to and they have an extra pass. Can I?" She asks and I sigh.
"I don't know how I feel about that." I say and she huffs as she leans against the crib.
"We won't do anything mom. His parents will be there and he said you can meet them. Please? You let me go to San Diego for a whole week." She says practically begging.
"But you were with a group of girls. What are the sleeping arrangements going to be? I definitely don't feel comfortable with you sharing a bed or even a room with him." I tell her and she rolls her eyes again. I glance over at Jesse who gives me a small nod as if he agrees with me.
