It's a bright sunny day in the city of New York. Natasha, sitting in the kitchen overlooking out the window of the Stark tower, seems to be worried. Steve walks in casually with bags of take out in hand.
"Hungry Nat? I brought thai food if you want. Plenty of it for all of us." He sets the bags on the kitchen island and rolls up the sleeves of his blue denim blouse. As he gets some plates from the cupboard, Natasha walks towards him.
"I'm not hungry Cap. I can't stop thinking about Cate. She hasn't given us any news in 3 days."
At that moment, Thor and Loki walk into the kitchen and see their two friends talking.
"Why is it that everytime I bring food home, you show up as soon as I put the food down?" Steves laughs talking to Thor.
"I love midgardian food!" Thor grabs himself a plate and starts to go throught the take out bags. Meanwhile, Loki goes to the counter to start the kettle to have some tea.
"Have you two heard of your friend yet?" Thor asked Nat with a mouthful of pad thai.
"No we haven't. I was just telling Steve about it. I'm starting to worry. What if something's happened to her?" She replied as she started pacing back and forth.
"She learned 3 days ago she mutated to something unknown. It's alot to digest for a midgardian. I'm assuming she is just trying to figure it out alone." Loki interjects as he puts a bag of earl grey into a green mug.
"Loki's most likely right, Natasha. Maybe we give her a few more days to process the whole ordeal, and then we could maybe track her down. For all we know she may be working." Steve outs a hand on the redhead's shoulder to try to get her to calm down a little. She shrugs off his hand but agrees to wait. Thor hands her a plate and raises his eyebrows at her to see if she'll eat now. The three of them sit down and have their meal together quietly while Loki, claiming he's not hungry, goes back to him room tea in hand.
Back in his room, Loki sits upright on his bed, back against his bedframe. He's reading one of his favorite Asgardian novels he had brought back to earth with him. He sips his tea and seems to be having a hard time following his novel.
I do wonder if that woman is alright. Widow seemed to worry quite a bit earlier.. but wait. Why am I thinking about her? Curiosity I suppose. I wonder how her mutation will manifest itself. I do know where she resides.. maybe I could go in behalf of the widow to see how she is.
Upon thinking it, he got up, magically changed his clothes, and teleported himself just outside of Cate's building a few blocks away from the compound.---------------------------------------------------------
Cate was in her kitchen. She had taken out a bottle of red wine to have with her dinner for the evening. She had a few kinds of vegetables sitting on the counter she was about to cut up when a knock is heard from her appartment door. She puts the knife down on the black marble counter and walks across the light coloured floors to the front door. She unlocks and swings the door open to see none other then the God of Mischief himself. She was pleasently surprised to see him.
"Loki? What are you doing here? Is everything alright?"
"Good evening to you as well princess." He grins to her knowing very well she hates being called princess.
"My apologies Loki. Good evening. Won't you come inside?" She said with an exaggerated smile.
She opens the door even more and gestures him to come in. He walks by her and politely take his shoes off in the entrance as Cate closes the door behind the both of them. He walks forward, looking all over the open space appartement. Aside from the bathroom and bedroom, the whole place was an open floor area filled of wooden furniture, plants and flowers everywhere. As Cate walks back to the kitchen, Loki follows her with his green eyes. She's wearing a larger then needed deep violet sweater, along with a leather skirt that showed off her thighs. When Loki found himself to be staring at her, he quickly started talking.
