After Loki and Cate had eaten, she shortly fell asleep on his chest as the two of them watched a movie. Roughly an hour later, Loki was stroking her hair as she slept peacefully when a quiet knock was heard at the door. Not wanting to wake Cate up, Loki doubled himself to open up the door. Thor was standing by the door, looking at both Lokis.
"Oh please don't tell me why there's another one of you here. I am not sure I wish to hear the answer." Thor said as he walked in the bedroom.
"I didn't wish to wake her, brother." Loki pointed to Cate. "She's sleeping. I know it may be hard for you, but could you try to be as quiet as possible. She doesn't usually sleep well." He added, keeping a hand on her. Thor walked across the room to sit on Loki's green velvet chair. Loki smiles greatly remembering his steamy moment with Cate on that same chair.
"You might want to sit somewhere else, brother." Thor grows a face of disgust on his face. "Actually, you may just want to stand." Loki laughs, proud of himself.
"Alright, did NOT need to know that." He says as he stares at the chair and stands up. "I came in to see how you two were doing? You haven't left your room except for food." Loki rolled his eyes.
"Yes of course we're fine, brother." He answered annoyingly.
"Banner is back, and he'd like to look over her soon to make sure she's ok after the mission from last night, or I shall I say this morning."
"Couldn't have sent me an electronic message to tell me that, brother?"
"You know I hate those weird devices." Thor laughs. "Cate was supposed to teach me but I suppose she will be busy keeping you out of trouble. You're her burden now." He joked.
"Hey!" Loki chuckled. "What makes you think it won't be me keeping her out of trouble?" The two of them looked at each other quietly for a few seconds before laughing.
"I am really happy for you, brother." Thor said lovingly to Loki.
"Oh please. Don't get all soft on me now, Thor." Cate slightly twitched on Loki's chest. He held her tight to reassure her without waking her. Her face frowned and her eyes were moving fast under her eyelids.
"Brother?" Thor gave Loki a worried look and Cate sprung awake, gasping for air. Loki cupped her face with his hands.
"Hey, you're alright. I'm right here, love." He kissed her forehead. "Breathe, princess, you're safe." She used her hand to move her hair back on her head while looking at Loki.
"I'm sorry, just a bad dream.." She didn't go into detail as she noticed Thor was standing there looking at her. "Oh! Hi stranger. What are you doing here?" She asked as she sat up and cleared her throat. Loki was running circles on her back, concerned for her.
"I came in to check on the both of you. Are you alright m'lady?" He asked her.
"Yes, I'm good, thank you. How are you thunder?" She replied with a soft smile. Loki looked at her confusingly.
"You're boiling, love." He said as he puts a hand on her forehead. "Are you sure you're alright?" She looked to the both of them and tried her best to comfort them.
"Yes I promise I'm ok. I'll just go to the washroom real quick and put a little water on my face." She put a hand on Loki's cheek. "I'm fine." She grabbed the blanket but before she got up she settled back in bed. Loki smirked at her.
"Do you need help walking over there, love?" He joked. Thor rolled his eyes. Cate let out a little laugh and blushed slightly.
"Um, no. It's just that I'm not wearing any pants." She whispered. Loki immediately pulled the blanket protectively further up on her and looked over to his brother.
