When we collide (Book 1)

Back at it

          "Jarvis, could you tell me where Dr. Banner is, please?" Cate asked as she slipped on the light pink skater dress Loki brought over from her room.

Dr.Banner is in the kitchen, reading, Ms. Blanchard. He is accompanied by Ms. Romanoff, Mr.Rogers and Mr.Odinson.

"Thank you, Jarvis." She fixed the spaghetti straps on her shoulders as she turns towards Loki, who was leaning on the edge of the dresser looking at her get dressed. "I guess, we're headed to the kitchen. Which is perfect because now noone can give me the excuse that I can not have my coffee." She giggled ecstaticly.

"My Gods.." Loki hit his palm on his forehead. "Darling, I'm afraid it's way passed coffee hour. It's nearly 9 in the evening." He protested as she was brushing out knots out of her hair with her fingers. She stopped and looked at him as a smirk grew on her rosy lips. "What is it, love?" Loki asked her, grinning seeing her smile.

"Catch me if you can, Mischief!" She yelled as she turned around, opened the door and started running down the hallway. Loki laughed as he got up to chase after her. As she ran, she looked back and noticed he wasn't there, so she slowed down and the smile she had on her face slowly died down. When she faced forward he was standing there, grinning and she jumped, surprised by his presence.

"You cheated! You teleported." She puffed.

"Mischief, remember?" He simply said as he cupped her face to kiss her. "You just got better, love. I think it would be wise for you to manage yourself a little." Cate rolled her eyes at him as she wrapped her tiny little arms around his waist.

"Ugh.. I don't like it when you're right." She stuck her tongue out at it.

"I rather enjoy it. If you keep sticking your tongue out at me, I'll simply have to bite it."

           The two of them walked hand in hand to the kitchen where a part of the group was relaxing quietly. Bruce was on the end of the marble island having tea, reading a medical article, while Natasha , Steve and Thor were playing cards. They hadn't notice Cate and Loki yet so Cate snuck up behind Thor and Loki nonchalantly went in front of the group to wish them a good evening.

"Good evening to you, Loki. How is Cate holding up?" Steve asked. Loki's swiftly looked to Thor.

"I am not quite sure, why don't you guys ask her yourself." And as he finished talking, Cate jumped up and wrapped her hands around Thor's face to hide his eyes.

"Who's there?!" She yelled. and Thor jumped up screaming, carrying her incidentally on his shoulders. The group started laughing hysterically seeing the mighty God of thunder scream. As Thor took her hands off of him and dropped her on the floor. He turned around and gave her a big bear hug and was holding on tight, laughing. Loki, seeing his girlfriend and his brother get along so well, cleared his throat.

"Ok, ok, that's enough, brother. Hands off." Loki told him jealously. Cate rolled her eyes at him.

"I'm sorry, Loki." The blond God said to his brother. He turned to Cate with a smile spread across his face. "It is simply too good to see you up and about, Cate! How are you feeling m'lady?" Cate went over to see Steve and gave him a hug as she replied to the tall blondie.

"I haven't felt this good in over, what? Like a week, I think?" She made her way to Natasha and gave her a big hug as well. "I missed you guys so much. I needed to come see you guys." She went beside Bruce and copied the gesture she'd given the others. "I was just able to use my photosynthesis. Loki saw it." She smiled at Bruce, happy to have her powers back and to be out of the bedroom. She turned to the flowers in the vase, who had died without her care, she raised her hand and danced her fingers as she walked over to Loki. The light at the tip of her fingers brought the lilacs back to life and Loki gave her a kiss on her cheek as he wrapped an arm around her waist.
