Cause and Effect

          It has been 3 days since the start of the fever has hit Cate and Loki never once stopped looking after her. She and the others had to keep him grounded and tell him to sleep because he was over protecting her. Yesterday, she decided she had enough of staying in the bedroom so she had made plans with Peter, who was supposed to come over because he didn't have any school today. She was in bed, when she subtly and softly removed Loki's arm from her stomach, and grabbed her phone to check the time.

Good morning, Cate. I just got up so I'll be there in roughly 30 mins. BTW I made you the CD! I'll bring it over. See ya soon -Pete

She replied to him and put her phone back down on her night stand when Loki started waking up. He yawned and opened his eyes to see Cate.

"Morning, princess. Did you sleep ok?" She gave him a smile as she laid her head back on the pillow, facing him.

"I did, how about you?" She said softly as she caressed his cheek, and squirmed her way closer to him.

"Next to you, always." Loki smiled and kissed her gently. Cate took her hands and cupped his face to keep their lips together and Loki smiled into their kiss. He missed having their bodies touching just as much as she did. He wanted her, longed for her but she was still burning with a fever and he worried for her. "How are you feeling this morning, love?" Feeling her forehead, Cate took his hand and kissed his softly.

"I'm kind of tired, but I'm fine. Peter is supposed to come over. We're going to have breakfast and he's bringing me a new music CD."

"He best let you rest today, or I'm going to have a problem with the boy of spiders." Loki said seriously and Cate laughed and kissed him again.

"Don't you worry. I'm staying here and I will stay calm. Besides, Bruce is supposed to come check me out in roughly an hour." She runs her fingers from the top of his Loki's chest down to his pelvis and softly skimmed the top of his underwear. "Since I feel fine and all, do you think we could--"

"Let me stop you right there, kitten. There is nothing more I would rather do right now, than do you. But I won't risk your fever going higher on account of my urges." Loki claimed as he kissed her, smiled and got out bed quickly to make sure she couldn't persuade him otherwise. Cate let out a short chuckle.

"Am I that transparent?" She grinned at him as she slowly got up herself. He made his way over to her and bent down to her eye level and pressed a tender, loving kiss on her lips.

"Yes, darling." He grinned and pulled away. "Stark told me it's supposed to be a very hot day today, love. He told me he'd make sure the air conditioner would be up and working by the afternoon. So in the meantime--"

"This is where I stop you to say I know what to do to keep cool. But thank you for your concern.. daddy." Loki laughed. He really loved it when she called him daddy. Smirk on her face, she made her way to her wardrobe. Loki motioned his hand and with a few short seconds he was magically dressed with cargo shorts and an olive green polo shirt. Cate put on a a lilac polka dotted dress with spaghetti straps and sat down at her vanity desk to brush her hair. Loki walked behind her and kissed her cheek while they looked at each other through the mirror, both smiling. She was about to put her hair up when Loki dug his fingers through her hair sensually. Cate closed her eyes and drank in the moment. She loved having his hands on her, no matter where.

"Darling, you should let your hair down more often. You're absolutely breath taking." He bent down and kissed the sweet spot between her neck and shoulder. She opened her eyes to reveal the violet of her desire for him. She bit her bottom lip and it aroused Loki to see her react this way in the mirror. He left his lips there for a few moments, gently kissing her skin, sucking on it. When she let out a moan, Loki stopped and let her skin go. "Oh how I wish I could kiss my way down your body, love." Her eyes to immediately met his gaze.
