When we collide (Book 1)

Luminous

        Almost an hour later since Cate has come to the realization that she, Thor and Loki have ingested cannabis infused foods, and the trio has made it back to the tower in one piece. It's now early afternoon, and the three of them just got up the compound to the living room and have run into Nat, Clint and Steve who were back from their errands. As they walk in, they are laughing hysterically at some joke Thor was just telling.

"My, you three look like you had a wonderful time out. Looks like you feel better, Cate?" Nat asked with a smile on her lips. Cate, seeing Natasha, let go of her bag and ran to give Nat a great big hug. Natasha laughed. "We weren't gone for that long. What's up sweetie?" When Cate let go, she stood in front of the red head and put both her hands on her cheeks.

"You're the prettiest girl I know, Nat!" Cate claimed with the most sincere smile. Everyone laughed and then Nat noticed Cate's violet irises, and the sclera of her eyes were a pinkish red.

"Wait, what's wrong with her?" She asked as she looked at Loki who was showing his hands to Thor.

"Brother, your fingers are indeed very lean. What is that?" Thor seemed weirded out by Loki's hands. Clint got closer to the the boys and their eyes were just as red as Cate's around the corners.

"Oh my god!" Clint exclaimed as he started laughing. Cate turned to Clint.

"You're pretty too, Clint. Teach me how to use a bow!"

"Are you high?!" Natasha asked them.

"Shhhh!!" Cate said as she got really close to Nat. "Don't tell papa Stark. It wasn't my fault."

"What wasn't your fault.?" Said Stark as he walked in the living room with Peter. Steve who was silently enjoying the show from the sofa got up to wrap an arm around Cate's shoulders.

"These guys just got home. They're completely stoned." He said with a smile.

"It wasn't my fault! Thor fed us food with pot in it. It was an honest mistake." Cate said as she threw her hands forward to him as if he was going to handcuff her. "Am I grounded?" She whispered and laughed. Tony hit his palm on his forehead and Peter was unbelievably amused by the situation.

"You're supposed to be the good girl.. Good thing you're not at work. You three cannot be left unsupervised!" Tony said aloud, but Thor and Loki were sitting on the couch across from Steve, eating nachos and not listening to a word Tony was saying.

"I'm really sorry. Should I go train now?" Cate said trying as hard as she could not to laugh.

"Definately not! You will stay here where we can keep an eye on the three of you crazy kids." Peter, Clint, Steve and Nat were laughing at the situation. Cate ran to give Peter a hug.

"Peteeee! It's been too long! How you doing big guy?!" She asked him as she dragged him to sit with the some of the avengers on the sofa.

"I'm good, but kind of bummed I'm always missing all the fun!"

"Spiderkid! Your insect skills can sense things, yes?" Loki asked Peter suddenly. "Because I have a feeling something is happening. Someone is watching us and I know not who." Loki says as he looks everywhere around him. "Can anybody hear this?"

"Oh dear lord. We have paranoid Loki, hungry Thor and giggly Cate. This will be a long afternoon." Tony said frustrated. "I'll be in the lab if anyone needs me. I cannot handle these kids right now." Following Tony were Natasha and Clint.

"Hey wait, where are you going? Naaaaat?" Cate asked widow.

"I'm going to train a little with Clint. But youve got your godly buddies, Pete and Steve. You'll be just fine." Nat said with a smile and a wink towards Steve.
