After having collided again, Cate finds herself cuddled up against Loki, both laying down on the sofa. She looked at him and let's out a light chuckle as she sees a satisfied smile on his lips. She bit her lip, almost in disbelief at how much she loved him, and Loki held onto her tighter.
"Now you definitely need to rest." He told her with a smirk on his Godly face as he fixed her bra straps on her shoulders. "You are something else, princess." Cate blushed as he grazed her neck and lightly grabbed it to lay a tender kiss on her lips. She sighed when their lips parted and slowly sat up on the sofa, looking at him.
"Would you like something to drink? I doubt our tea is still hot." She laughed as she slipped her panties back on. When she stood up and took a few steps towards the kitchen, she felt dizzy and stumbled, but caught herself on the counter before she could fall the ground. Loki immediately sat up, worrying about her. He furrowed his eyebrows, looking at her.
"Cate, are you alright?" But she shook it off lightly and faced him, comforting him.
"I, uh.." She raised a hand to her head and gave him a small smile. "I got up too quickly I suppose. I'm alright, just a little dizzy. 'll go get my bathrobe and go out on the balcony. Maybe the sun will help me feel better." She was about to walk to her bedroom to get her bathrobe when Loki got up.
"Stay there, I will retrieve for you." He gestured for her to sit back down but she simply got a hold of the counter as she felt faint again. She tried to steady her breathing and balance as Loki got back to her quickly with her bathrobe. He held it up for her to wrap herself in it.
"Thank you, Loki." She laid a soft kiss on his cheek before starting to head out to the balcony. She kept a hand on the wall to keep her balance steady and Loki noticed it right away. He followed her, staring at her with a hand on her lower back. Loki opened the door, took her hand and let her step outside first. Cate stepped out onto the hot cement floor and closed her eyes. It was nearly noon, therefore the sun was bright and high in the sky. She waited for the magic to happen. A few seconds later she opened her eyes, confused and looked at her hands.
"Talk to me. What's happening, love?" He stood in front of her and took her hands in his. He wanted to help but wasn't sure how. She looked up at his beautifully green eyes.
"I'm not sure." She thought about not telling him she couldn't absorb anything, but she knew she was a terrible liar and he'd see right through her. "I can't absorb anything.." She looked down at her hands. "I can't feel the photosynthesis." Loki rubbed his thumbs over her hands tenderly. He had a bad feeling about this.
"I don't like this, Cate. Let me bring you back to Banner." Loki said to her as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
"I'm sure everything is fine. Maybe I'm just catching a cold or something--" Loki interrupted her.
"A cold in the middle of summer?" He looked at her, unconvinced. She smiled at him reassuringly.
"Happens more often then you think. Fevers appear when your body fights against an unknown pathogen." She tried to shrug it off as if it were normal that her powers couldn't work.
"Even more reason to go see him. Look, I just need to make sure you are alright. Maybe there is something he can do to help." Cate blushed a little seeing how much he cared for her well being and she raised a hand up to his cheek and caressed it gently.
"If it'll make you feel better, then we can go. I'll get dressed." He gave her a tight hug. He pulled away slightly and raised her chin up with his index finger to gaze into her eyes. Cate's heart was racing within her chest and they stared at each other.
"It may be selfish or even downright rude and manipulative, but I tend to be protective of what belongs to me, love."
"I belong to you..?" She asked him, wanting nothing more then to be his.
