When Loki said his lungs had stopped breathing for her, the whole gang suddenly became quiet. They shared looks between the five of them but Loki and Cate were staring deep into each other's eyes. They were so focused on each other's dispute they had forgotten the rest of the team was there watching. Cate's eyes we're violet and teary looking at Loki.

"Loki.." she mumbled. She didn't really know what to say. He was utterly upset.

"Had you even thought about what would happen to us if you died? What would happen to ME if you had died?" He was screaming without realizing it and Cate took a few steps closer to him carefully to try to calm him.

"Loki, I'm sorry I didn't think--"

"Of course you didn't think! You acted against what we were telling you! You weren't thinking about us! By the nine realms, you didn't once think about me!" He slammed his left hand on the sofa out of anger.

"Now that is NOT fair!" She yelled as a tear rolled down her cheek. "All I could think about was you guys! That's why I did it!" She wiped her tear in frustration.

"You are everything to me! How am I supposed to live if you're not there!? One night with you just wasn't enough!"

Thor and Natasha shared a look and smiled, while Tony rolled his eyes in discouragement.

"I knew it." Clint whispered to Steve. Cate took another few steps in his direction. She realized that she just had to tell him she loved him. If he wasn't going to admit it, then she had too. She'd be destroyed if he wouldn't reciprocate but she figured he had to act this way because he somehow felt something more then friendship for her.

"Loki, I did that because I couldn't live with myself if something had happened to you. YOU mean everything to ME!" She blurred out. Hearing that, Loki's face immediately softened. His eyes gazing right at her.

"What..?" He asked confusingly. She got even closer to him, enough to lay her hand on top of his hand the sofa. She hesitated for a few seconds as she looked and rubbed her hand on his. She looked back up at him, straight into his gorgeous emerald green eyes.

"Loki, I.. I'm in love with you." She said clearly. Loki took a few seconds to process what she had just said to him. He didn't think it was real. "I didn't know what this was until some time ago." Loki started raising his voice again and was pacing back and forth from where he was standing to the the end of the sofa. "Cate, ever since I've met you, my life has changed in ways I never thought it could! You are the light in my darkness." He finally stopped moving and turned to face her. "I cannot pretend we are just friends anymore. You occupy my thoughts day and night. I love you too!" He accidentally yelled out. Cate stepped forward to stand a few inches away from him and she put her hands upon his chest and smiled.

"So stop yelling at me and kiss me, you fool." He chuckled lightly and cupped his hands on her face.
He then pressed his lips upon her lightly. Their lips felt so good upon each other's. Loki had to have her closer to him. He slipped one of his hands in the back of her head and deepened the kiss as his other hand grabbed her waist. After a few more seconds, they were full on making out when Natasha finally spoke up.

"Oh my God! It's about time you two!" She yelled out with a huge smile across her face. Cate and Loki broke their kiss in surprise having forgotten they were there. Cate was blushing, covering her mouth, and her eyes were violet with embarrassment.

"Seriously, the tension was starting to get awkward around the two of you." Steve smiled as he pointed to them. Loki let out a light chuckle but couldn't take his eyes off of Cate who had her hands on her cheeks, trying to cool them down.

"Wait you guys knew?!" Cate asked as she was surprised by Steve's remark.

"Didn't know you guys already canoodled until Rock of Ages just said so, but yeah! It was pretty obvious there was something going on between you two. I will also add, ew." Tony said as he walked behind the bar to get himself a drink. Cate, embarrassed, couldn't even look at her friends. Thor went up to her and Loki and locked them both in a big, strong hug.
