Beautiful shiny day this morning in NYC. Natasha was in the kitchen having cereal for breakfast, Bucky and Peter we're playing fortnite in the living room, and Loki was on the balcony reading a book, having coffee.

"Good morning everyone." Said Cate as she walked in with a big grin and still sleepy eyes. She walked hazely towards Natasha in the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie. How'd you sleep?" The red head said as she handed her a cup of joe.

"It wasn't looking like I was going to sleep good. But I did. And I wish I hadn't got up." She gladly took a sip of the coffee and asked Nat how she slept.

"Slept all night like a baby." She smiled.

"That's great. So we're still on for shopping today?" Cate asked as she sat down between the two boys in the living room.

"You bet!" Natasha claimed. "I'm going for a shower alright. We can go after sweetie."

"Um did I not say good morning loud enough boys? Are you deaf or am I invisible?" Cate smirked at Bucky and Peter who were completely absorbed by the game.

"Good morning to you doll. Couldn't be invisible if you tried." Bucky said without looking at her.

"Morning Cate. Wanna join us?" Peter asked the brunette.

"Thanks Pete but I'm not awake enough for that. Imma go out onto the balcony to have my coffee." She got up, grabbed the blanket behind bucky and wrapped it around herself. She stepped out right by the edge, coffee in hand. She closed her eyes and breathed in the sun. There was no other feeling like it.

"Good morning, princess." Loki said smiling at her. She jumped in place, almost spilling her entire mug on the cement floor.

"Loki! Must you always scare me on balconies?!" She laughed as she waved off the coffee she got on her hands.

"I swear I'm not doing it on purpose." He smirked. He got up off the patio sofa and gestured her to sit next to him. So she did.

"Thank you for putting me to bed last night, Loki. I slept well. I can't remember the last time I slept for more then 3 hours at a time." She remembered he said he wasn't much of a hugger, so instead she pressed a gentle kiss on his cheek much to his surprise. He was almost blushing. Her lips felt so good against his skin.

"It was my pleasure princess. I couldn't exactly let you sleep on the cement floor of your balcony." He choked out. And she laughed.

"No, I suppose not. What are your plans for today, God of Mischief?"

"Nothing particular. I wish to finish this novel, and I will probably go train in the afternoon. How about you princess?" He said as he layed his back against the furniture. He looked at her with his green eyes.

"I'm going shopping this morning with Nat remember? I'll try to not look like a 15 year old boy, or a girl that's given up trying to look decent." She laughed as she took a sip of coffee.

"I cannot wait to see the new attires you will bring back. I know we made fun of you, but the truth is.." And this he said looking right into her eyes.

"You are beautiful no matter what you wear." Cate stared back at Loki as he said these words to her. She was blushing at his compliment, and her eyes were now turning violet. She was feeling overwhelmed with the urge to kiss him. Loki was examining her facial features, looking for a sign that said he could kiss her. He noticed her eyes turning and saw she was slightly leaning in so he started to as well. As they started to lean into each other, Bucky stepped out to meet her and Loki.

"Hey doll. Hey Loki. How you two doing?"

"We're fine. Thank you. Bye bye now." Said Loki as he waved Bucky off. Cate swatted Loki's shoulder to signal him to be polite.
