The next morning, Cate springs awake in bed next to Loki. She had a nightmare and was catching her breath. Her phone vibrated with a text message and she glanced over to Loki who was still sleeping peacefully. She was glad not to have woken him since Loki rarely slept. She turned her phone over to see she had 5 unread messages.

Hey sweetie. I couldn't find you in your room this morning. Please let me know you're alright. -Nat

Morning bud! I'll be by the tower in an hour. You owe me a rematch for last week. See you soon. -Pete

Good morning Cate. Nat said she couldn't find you. I'm assuming you went jogging without me this morning. That kind of hurts. But I'll forgive you. -Steve

Good morning miss. Remind me to show you the new machine I developed with these german doctors when I come back. It's sure to interest you. I hope you and everyone over there are doing good and staying safe. -Bruce

You haven't called me in over two days young lady. I sincerely hope you have a good excuse. I love you kid. -Mom

"You sure are popular this morning, princess." Loki whispered as he sat up behind her and kissed her neck. Feeling his soft lips against her skin, Cate tilted her head and smiled.

"Who doesn't like a princess?" She joked. "We should probably head back." Loki kept kissing her and slowly started to take off her robe. "I'm being awfully missed by our friends.." She mumbled as Loki crept one of his strong hands to caress her breast. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment, letting a shy moan escape her lips.

"They are more your friends then mine.." He whispered to her as he used his other hand to turn her face towards his for a deep, long kiss. "I think we should stay in bed all day." Loki added and Cate laughed and wiggled herself free of his hands.

"I see what you're doing there, Mr. Laufeyson. We can't do that." She smirked as she goes to her dresser and shuffles through her clothes.

"But it's sunday. Isn't today supposed to be a day of rest?" He protested as he got up and made a wave with his hand. Suddenly, he was wearing black pants and a soft green racer back shirt. "I'll go make tea. I'm assuming you'll have coffee, princess?" Cate, exasperated she couldn't do that, dressed the old fashioned way.

"Yes please. Thank you, Loki." She yelled out to him as he got to the kitchen. She slipped on jean shorts and a loosely fit white tee shirt. She brushed the knots out of her hair and took out makeup from her drawer. A few minutes later, Loki was observing her from the door with the two mugs in his hands, looking at her getting ready. When she noticed him gazing at her, she smiled at him and took out a makeup brush.

"What is it?" She asked him as she put on some blush. Loki smirked and walked over to her, setting her mug on the dresser

"Thank you." She added. Loki leaned on her dresser and watched her with a smile.

"You know you don't need that right?"
She opened her mascara tube and winked at him.

"A little blush and some mascara never hurt anyone. I feel prettier when I'm wearing some." As she applied her mascara, Loki planted a kiss on her cheek.

"If it makes you feel better, then don't change on my account." He said as he took a sip from his tea.

"See? I'm all done. And now my eyes look bigger and brighter don't they?" She batted her eyelashes excessively as a joke and Loki cupped her face and gave her a tender kiss on her lips.

"My Gods, why must you be this adorable, kitten?" He asked as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Cate wasn't used to compliments and often found herself rejecting them, but it was Loki and she knew if she argued with him she'd never hear the end of it. Instead she smiled at him as she put her phone in her bag along with a few articles of clothing and a pair of headphones to bring back to the compound.
