More miraak headcanons

(I apologize for the flooding of miraak content but it makes me happy and keeps me writing while I play through the dawngaurd once again for other character inspiration.)

It takes him a substantial amount of time away from Apocrypha to not be nauseated by the smell of old books. Even though he used to love the smell.

Speaking of scents he somehow naturally smells somewhat like faint bourbon, oak and spice. (*cough* and ash *cough*)

When he gets nervous he trips over his words or has even more of a "roundabout" way of communicating. For instance instead of just flat out saying he's uncomfortable he'll mention every physical symptom he feels at the moment and contradicts himself.

If in the very rare event the two of you stumble upon an abandoned dragon hatchling he won't even consult you before taking the baby dovah into his arms and stuffing them into the first layer of his robes for warmth. Though he used to hate the dragons, something within him shifted being with you and instead of being cruel he decided to be kind. This would especially be true if the two of you had children already or if you were pregnant. At least then he would just blame it on "parental instincts."

Is very fond of keeping pets, his favorite kind of pet being a raven or some other type of intelligent bird. He won't deny that he also loves foxes.

Even though it is a clear reminder of his past, he will be ever so grateful if you were to do something to refurbish/clean up his mask and robes.

If you were to bring him to vahlok's tomb he will show an almost comical display of emotions that soon turn scary. He started off emotionless, but soon commenced into anger that is until you and him killed the undead priestess. After her death he was ecstatic? Laughing hysterically before suddenly his laughter and victorious glow turned into agonizing sobs. When asked what caused such a reaction he forced himself to tell you in fine detail about the final battle that almost cost him his life.

He likes star gazing and never gets tired of looking at the aurora.

Thinks the dwarves were awesome and is always delighted to delve into their ruins to see what he can take back to the surface with him.
