General Miraak Headcanons

When sleeping by himself, Miraak- funny enough- actually has to hold onto something. Thanks to his previously lavish lifestyle, the object of his cuddling would usually be lush furs and pillows- a habit that will likely be carried with him for the rest of his life until he trusts another person to fill that space.

Once upon a time, Miraak actually used to have certain robes for specific days of the week to sleep in. However seeing as that isn't exactly an option, and hadn't been for a long time, he's grown accustomed to merely sleeping in his under layer of his everyday garb unless he has something else provided. Preferably, he'd just sleep with something thin and comfortable. It's not like he gets cold after all. Buuuut, he will make an exception and sleep in the nude if he happens to feel his "lover's comfort" that night.

During the first few months..maybe even few years after he is let out of Apocrypha, Miraak has terribly vivid nightmares that leave him shaking like a frail leaf in the early hours of the morn. This may even occasionally drive him to become a morning drinker. Only time will really heal this wound.

You bet your sweet ass he talks in his sleep. It can even be annoying how often he does it, sometimes keeping you awake. Hope you're not a light sleeper. What's even worse is that it's 97% bullshit, not even coherent sentences. Oh, plus he snores like a beast. Ever heard a dragon sleep? Similar.

Having you by his side to sleep with is extremely therapeutic for him. So much so, that Miraak becomes semi dependent on having you in his arms for him to be able to have a true night full of rest. Whenever you've gone? Well..let's just say that he can't wait for you to return. He's naturally a restless man, so yanking away his support, his source of calm..not a good idea.
