•I'm assuming you're his significant other, because there is no other way Miraak would even dare to be so vulnerable around anyone else.
•If you follow my Headcanons, you probably already know that Miraak suffers from PTSD and has a whole lot of really messed up nightmares because of it (on top of other things too)
•Anyways-
•You'll have to be patient with him. Chances are, Miraak doesn't really want you to be "bothered" by this. He's a strong man, grown and not like some child that needs coddling. But for the love of the divines please do so.
•He'll just sit there, his eyes glassy and even more of a brillant green from the tears he shed- his entire body trembling even if only the slightest bit. He wants it stop, wants to make himself not look so foolish- but he just can't. That's where you come in.
•Hold him, despite his protest. Make sure to stroke his hair, let him know that it's all okay. Let him know that it's alright to feel the way he does, that he doesn't have to maintain some all powerful image with you any more, and most importantly, the past is lost in the past from here on out.
•Soon enough he'll calm down, his large head resting against your chest as the remainder of the nightmare fades away from his mind. After that, he'll cling to you as though he feared you'd drift away- muttering some lost praise in an ancient language you knew was not Dovahzul- perhaps Atmoran?- all the while allowing you to hold him and feel as though you were the one protecting him.
